We're developing an autonomous launch procedure that enables a two person crew to launch large teams of USVs in rapid succession - less than one minute per boat. Once the "Launch" play is sent from HavocControl to the team, the shore crew simply presses a button to launch each Rampage. The boats will join their team in a pod at the egress point to await the next task. #maritimeautonomy #USVs #HavocAI

In every project, it's important to evaluate the impact of the work being done. We in ULTIMO project have defined 68 key performance indicators (KPI) in five categories. They range from increasing overall user acceptance of autonomous vehicles (AVs) in the social dimension to supporting the development of large-scale system deployments in the technical dimension. For each item, measurable target values were defined. They offer guidance in the project work and show whether and how a goal has been achieved. An excellent analysis by In-Q-Tel discusses the growing importance of the undersea domain, the promise of autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), and how a few enabling technologies dictate their primary operational limits.
