When I started SA DIGITAL FILMS in 2013, I wanted to create an environment that was more people-oriented. I believe that there is a lot more to know about people beyond their designation. When I was hiring for my team, I put more focus on knowing people’s interests because I felt that their passion for something told me about them which a resume can’t. I wanted people who were also interested in pursuing their other interests as well along with contributing to the company's goals. Even after so many years, this culture at SA Digital Films hasn’t changed a bit. Our focus still remains on fostering the personal interests of every single person on our team. The best part is that we do all the activities together. We do many things like running, watching films, and playing sports as a team. It creates an environment where learnings and experiences are shared and we all feel closer to each other. The reason we do it is because I feel that our role is much more than working on projects. It works magic. We are not just a team, but a family in which everyone is supported and encouraged to be their best selves. Culture holds prime importance for people when they choose a company they want to work with. It is their investment of time as well as ours. They deserve to feel the belongingness at their workplace which is their second home. #workculture #personalinterests

My biggest takeaway from working in the film & TV industry at Sky Studios: Speak up. I think in any entry-level role, it's easy to think you're "too junior" to be asking for what you want or contributing in conversations with higher-ups. When in reality, people remember what you say and will keep you in mind when an opportunity does come up. 🎬 If I was "too junior" to be asking to gain experience working on a TV set... → I wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to develop my production management skills in a fast-paced production office 🌠 If I was "too junior" to share my special interest in diversity, equity and inclusion... → I wouldn't have had the chance to attend DE&I events and take the lead on impactful projects I'm passionate about 💬 If I was "too junior" to ask senior people for coffee catch-ups to learn more about their career journeys... → I wouldn't have built the network I'm now always leaning on for advice and support (which I hope I'm returning the favour on!) Every opportunity is what you make of it - and you're doing yourself a disservice by underestimating the value you bring to a team. (No matter how junior you are!) Would love to hear some success stories from other people in industry! 🚀 #HETV #TVProduction #ProductionAssistant

Post-game coverage of the recruiting desk here at OBE earlier this week. Me- Working. Businessing. Hiring Manager 1- "I know of an internal candidate that is awesome. I'd like to promote her into a job that doesn't exist today". Me- Well that's awesome :) Hiring Manager 2, like 30 minutes later- "I know of 4 internal candidates that are awesome. I'd like to promote them into jobs that don't exist today". Me- Hang on. Did you say 4?! This "promoting-you-into-a-job-that-doesn't-exist-today" seriously happened to 5 employees in like 30 minutes?! So, so, so very awesome. I guess I'm saying happy Friday and OBE is awesome. The end :) #nowhiring #OBE #recruiting #recruitinglife #companyculture #recruitingdifferently #internalmobility #promotions

Hello #LinkedIn community! I wanted to take a moment to share a part of my journey with all of you—especially those who are chasing their dreams while balancing various roles along the way. 🌟 As I reflect on my career, I've realized it's not just about the destination but the progress we make on the journey. Each experience, whether big or small, has shaped who I am as a professional and continues to inspire my growth. While I've been fortunate to land some exciting acting opportunities 🎬, I also wear many hats—actor, producer, working at events, attractions, and educational institutions—always finding myself in roles that connect me with people. Recently, I started working with Warner Bros Discovery as a part of the Admissions Team, and I’m curious to see how it unfolds. ✨ I’m sharing this because I know many of us balance different roles, and it’s okay! Every job, every experience adds to our unique story and skill set. 💡 On a side note, I just launched my IMDb Pro page, and I’d appreciate it if you could check it out: https://lnkd.in/epwkBvcK . Every bit of traffic helps! 🎥 Feel free to share your journey in the comments or send me a message. Let’s inspire and learn from one another! 🙌 #CareerProgress #NeverStopLearning #PersonalGrowth #ActorLife #Networking

Actors live hundreds of lives. I once aspired to be an actor, even taking an exam for acting school. However, it was just a one-time endeavor, unlike some of my successful friends who applied to multiple acting academies before committing fully to the path. I'm actually really glad things worked out the way they did for me. But, I just couldn't stay still; I was itching to explore different interests and try new things. Figuring out a job that kept me energized and excited without getting dull was quite the challenge. Staying in a single industry for years? Naaah. Specializing in a narrow field? Oh my, I might as well read the terms and conditions of every software update and simply die of boredom. Specialization is for scientists, and I'm not even that clever! When I found my way into #CustomerSuccess, I knew I was on the right track. 🟢 I gain insights into various organizations, including renowned Enterprise companies (without needing to work there directly!). 🟢 I witness how similar processes differ across different companies. 🟢 I gain a better understanding of completely different industries. 🟢 I marvel at the creative products and services offered by the customers I work with. 🟢 I get the chance to observe how different cultural backgrounds influence working culture. It's quite rare to have a job that allows such deep understanding of clients' industries and cultural backgrounds. You never get bored, and in a way, you have similar opportunities to stay energized as actors do. This post probably should end with a job posting, but let me just say this: if you haven't already, definitely explore this satisfying path. And for those already in the #CustomerSuccess field, you're seriously lucky to be here! 🌟

As I was watching the documentary #musicbyjohnwilliams 🎼 , it dawned on me... Hiring Managers = the director Talent Acquisition = the composer The relationship between a director and a composer is a crucial part of the filmmaking process. It's essential for the composer to understand the director's vision. Directors rely on composers to enhance the emotional depth and storytelling of a film through music. We all have that soundtrack we love. One that pulls us back to scenes in our favourite movies. The Talent team is the composer to the Hiring Manager. We bring to life the role at hand, shaping the tone and mood of the position through making meaningful connections, educating, and inspiring. A successful hiring partnership transforms a job into an opportunity. It transforms an interview process into an experience. It creates an employer brand that serves as the soundtrack, drawing people back to watch the movie. The moral of the story: Understanding eachothers vision takes time. Before recruitment is launched, invest time upfront to your job kick-offs. Get really aligned on the vision and execution. Build trust in each other. The results will come ⚡ #Hiring #TalentAcquisition
