This Evidence Roundup can help inform health care providers, policymakers, and health plans seeking to more effectively use telehealth services for high-risk populations. https://bit.ly/3Qj4eTh

📢 CHIME along with 60 health systems urge lawmakers to take immediate action to extend telehealth policies A group of over 60 health systems and organizations, including the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), is calling on lawmakers to extend telehealth policies that were temporarily adopted during the COVID-19 pandemic. As the healthcare landscape continues to evolve, these policies have been crucial in expanding access to care, particularly for underserved and rural communities. In a recent letter, health leaders stressed the importance of maintaining telehealth flexibilities that improve patient access, reduce care disparities, and enhance overall outcomes. Super important survey showing how much patients want more telehealth (75% prefer having TH as an option for routine care), but majority of patients do not think their health system even offers it as an option. Another important stat: in addition to "convenience" and "avoiding sick people", another common reason people like TH is to "not bother their doctors" with small stuff. It's really important to know patients can understand what is a commodity vs. when they really need their doctors in person. For us to solve "access issues"- we need to better balance what needs to be in the office with a PCP, vs. what can be done online via their team.
