A truly useful technology merges and enhances the possibilities of an art or language. Technology is always a tool. And a tool, to be useful, must be done well.

Looking at scene breakdowns and approaches from camera to visual effects / realtime you have to adapt to production needs. Sometimes you will have to make custom solutions per project or even per scene / segment. Coming from a background as a cinematographer I always make connection as a VFX / VP Supervisor direct to the camera team. This adapted and updated Snoricam style rig (nice RED Raptor X btw) Will is fitted with gives a unique POV and enhances quite a few aspects of this action sequence. When the film comes out its going to be fun to breakdown how they approached this in Previs / Stuntvis and actual production. Its great as a learning tool to share with teams as you can gain alot from BTS as to the process other filmmakers are using.
You can see how films especially action films have inspired games with a very familiar POV camera FOV in games. It also would not be hard to build a Previs / Techvis of this rig in UE5 or Blender to audition the moves, shot pacing and lens choices. :)

I'm really speechless at some of the filmmaking techniques that take place when there's something creative that needs to be accomplished. Despite all of the backlash concerning AI I'm interested in how the tools can be employed to give anyone with a thought/dream ect. a means to break out of the constraints of the box we imagine are holding us back. No matter who you are, you can be someone else, do almost anything.

Press > Stags Interview in TVBEurope
How do you create a photoreal CG gorilla that feels as alive and emotionally resonant as the real thing?
UNIT’s VFX team brought their expertise to Paramount's drama Stags, delivering a seamless blend of creativity and technology to craft a lifelike character that steals the screen.
VFX Supervisor Nuno Pereira tells TVBEurope how the UNIT team delivered over 300 VFX shots across three episodes during the 17-week project:
“Our team focused on achieving a photoreal and naturalistic look for El Nino, which involved incredibly detailed animation and accurate lighting,” he continues. “We aimed to ensure the creature felt integral to the story, blending seamlessly with the live-action elements and enhancing the overall tension and drama of the series. As we started to develop this asset, and we were having rounds of feedback and dailies with the client, everyone realised that with so much work put into this asset to only have four shots, it would be a waste not to do more. So the shots and sequences, which included the CG version of the gorilla, quickly grew in number, scope, and ambition.”
