We were very lucky to be able to pay of some of our vet bills in their entirety during the summer ☀️ But they are rising once again and for the end of august and the month of September; although we are trying to keep vet use to essentials and emergencies - we are looking at over £1500 for one vet practitice. We are struggling - and while this bill is much lower than what we’ve paid of - we don’t have this money coming in. We are struggling to find money to pay for food, bedding, vet bills… we don’t have the man power and most of our senior volunteers are flat out trying to get things to work 😥 We need help to fundraise, to make real changes and improvements, to keep fighting. Can you help us? 🙏 Every little does help, we just need a little from a lot. Please note, that we don’t just need ideas we need physical people to implement them. We don’t have anymore manpower. Top line pointers are: ◾Two of you 'walking the walk' that a participant will experience. ◾Carefully pinpoint potential hazards, no matter how minor or unlikely. ◾Evaluate and take action to negate or mitigate the chances of them coming to pass. ◾Make sure you have correct insurances in place. ◾Document everything. Accidents happen, even at simple public meetings, and if they do, the first thing you will be asked for is your risk analysis. Today is World Water Day. In the UK, we often take water for granted as it is readily available. However, there are still 2.2 billion people around the world who do not have access to safely managed drinking water. This includes 115 million people who drink surface water, which is often dirty and unsafe. These individuals have to spend hours each day walking to find water and then drink and wash in unsanitary conditions. On this day, let's spare a thought for those who are less fortunate and do not have access to clean water. If possible, consider donating to organizations such as UNICEF, who are working towards providing access to clean water for people in need. #WorldWaterDay #CleanWaterForAll #UNICEF #DonateToMakeADifference

As charities across Australia grapple with a surging demand for food relief, Foodbank Australia’s Hunger Report 2024 has revealed that food insecurity in Australia has reached a critical point. Almost half of low-income households have faced food insecurity in 2024, the worst the situation has been since the cost-of-living crisis began. In 2024, 48% of households with less than $30,000 in income are food insecure, up 5% since 2022. More than half of food-insecure households in Australia are enduring the most severe level of hardship. This means they are often skipping meals, reducing portion sizes or even going entire days without eating. Some shocking statistics in a world where hunger and food waste coexist: 1.3 billion tons of food are lost or wasted worldwide... Almost 10 million of it is wasted in the UK alone... One in five people in the UK struggles to get enough food... Soaring food and living costs have left parents relying on charities and free school meals to feed their children... At iM Global Partner, our commitment to making a tangible difference, especially for the younger and more vulnerable members of our community, remains unwavering. In line with this mission, we are delighted to be partnering through our Donations Fund with The Felix Project, a charity that is taking practical action to fight food waste and hunger. The Felix Project is a food distribution charity in London that collects surplus food from suppliers and then sorts and delivers this food to almost 1000 front-line charities, primary schools and holiday programmes across the 32 boroughs in London. In 2023 alone, the Felix project rescued 13,394 tons of surplus food to provide an incredible 32 million meals to people in London.
