When it comes to better ball striking and shooting lower scores on a consistent basis most golfers think that their problem is that they don't hit the ball far enough. Its a mistake to think this way because if you are hitting the ball offline and always in trouble then you never get to score well. Five times British Open Champion Australian Peter Thomson said '𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗳 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗳𝗮𝗿, 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿'. Comment '𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴' to improve your golf this week. Look at building control as the entrance point to scoring lower and you will be on the fast track to hitting the ball close to your target because you have consistent contact and compression on the ball. So when you want to score well first concentrate on control and consistently hitting your ball to your target and allow the power to follow. If a golfer will read this and think about it in terms of how he/she can apply this on the golf course I believe they will reduce the amount of shots they take immediately. Let me know if you want a step by step guide of how to get this under control in your own game.

A couple of golfers were on the first tee and wanted to place a friendly wager on the round of golf. Nothing too big but something worth playing for. One of the golfers suggests, "Let's play for 10 cents on the first hole and it doubles each hole." Without giving the wager much thought the other golfer says, "Well that's nothing!" In reality...it is. The first few holes aren't exciting to either players. When the two golfers get to the back nine as you will see, is where things get interesting... Hole 1: $0.10 Hole 2: $0.20 Hole 3: $0.40 Hole 4: $0.80 Hole 5: $1.60 Hole 6: $3.20 Hole 7: $6.40 Hole 8: $12.80 Hole 9: $45.60 Hole 10: $51.20 Hole 11: $102.40 Hole 12: $204.80 Hole 13: $409.60 Hole 14: $819.20 Hole 15: $1,638.40 Hole 16: $3,276.80 Hole 17: $6,553.60 Hole 18: $13,107.20 The power of compound interest works in a very similar way. It might not be fun or "sexy" to watch. When you give an investment strategy the time and discipline to stay the course, the results might surprise you. I hope these golfers brought their checkbooks...

To follow up on my post today, I saw this and wanted to further drive home the point. Scottie Scheffler (professional golfer for those that don't know) has dominated on the PGA Tour recently. Trackman (premium golf technology that helps golfers track their shots to improve their score) If a golfer wants to become a great golfer a "Scottie Scheffler" of their Sunday group or their neighborhood 4some. [Their Better Future Version of themselves] Trackman in this post is suggesting to those golfers that if they want to achieve that [Better Future Version] to purchase a Trackman. Without explaining a feature or function or value proposition, thousands of golfers will investigate Trackman to potentially purchase because they want to become [better future version of themselves as a golfer]. This is how to use the Better Future Story to create curiosity and qualified leads.

Interesting that in the latest issue of Golf Inc. , its feature article of Most Powerful People in Golf, no one from the PGA of America is listed. Why? Surely the largest sports organization in the world should have some representation of importance in the World of Golf? Golf Inc. is the go to magazine with most current and important golf business information in it.

One of the reasons the best golfers are, well…the best is their willingness to learn. Golf is a game that can never be perfected, and even elite players are continually humbled by that fact. In the video in the article, Trevino gives Crenshaw a few tips on ball striking. The lesson no doubt made Crenshaw a better golfer, but it can be of benefit to you, too. Here’s what you can learn from it. When it comes to playing consistent golf many golfers believe that if they have consistency their scores will get better. It's a mistake to think this way as it's not the cause for better golf shots. Most golfers are consistently inconsistent at hitting their target. What golfers should really be chasing in golf is better control and the effect of this is greater consistency. So this week we are creating a 2024 Guide to Consistent Golf and if you would like us to keep you informed then please type '𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆' in the comments box below and we will keep you informed this week with videos, testimonies to help you.
