Four things you want to look for in a financial advisor. Number one, you want that person to be acting in a fiduciary capacity. A fiduciary is simply somebody who is legally bound to put your interests above their own #2A financial plan. Every investor should have a financial plan, no matter how much wealth they've accumulated. A financial plan is just a blueprint. It's a road map. It helps to identify all the risks that are obvious and and those that aren't. It's a way to put in context conversations about insurance and taxes and investments. Very important to have a financial plan #3 communication. You could have the best financial plan in the world if you don't understand what it represents, what it means, what it says. It's not going to do you much good in this industry. We tend to use a lot of jargon and lingo that. To many is not clear. Make sure the person you're working with communicates clearly and in ways. That work for you #4? Most important, trust. The person you've chosen to work with? Your financial partner. That person is shepherd and your wealth. They are responsible for not just the wealth and your needs for it, but your family as well. Critically important that you trust the person you're working with.
