At OVO Foundation, we've been working to create a greener, brighter future for every child since 2014. But what exactly is a charitable foundation?
A charitable foundation awards financial grants to charitable organisations. Typically these charitable organisations are aligned to the specific goals or values of the foundation. So in the case of OVO Foundation, we'll only fund charities or projects which help children and young people at the same time as the planet.
Currently we fund projects with four partners through our Climate Changers programme, which has reached over 780,000 children and young people.
We also give grants to 12 Community Impact Partners annually, for smaller scale projects such as community gardens, food education projects, or city farms. Our Community Impact Partners have reached over 7,000 children and young people, as well as giving OVO colleagues the opportunity to volunteer with them.
🤝 We'll introduce you to our all Climate Changers and Community Impact partners over the coming weeks.
💡 Why it matters: Every project we support must share the goals of the OVO Foundation, and help bring children and young people closer to nature to help kickstart climate action.
🔗 Funding charitable organisations' projects isn't the only thing we do. We'll share updates on all our other work throughout 2025 on our website https://lnkd.in/eb_MVHSd
