◻️As environmental concerns reach critical levels, the need for sustainable business practices has never been more urgent. In response, the Tbilisi Circular Labs (TCL), an innovative initiative supported by GIZ, is transforming the landscape of sustainability in Georgia. This project is part of the broader global effort known as “Circular City Labs,” which focuses on reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions while promoting economic viability and inclusivity, particularly for women entrepreneurs. By fostering a system where packaging can be returned, cleaned, and reused, TCL is poised to redefine sustainable practices in Tbilisi and beyond. Our recent expansion into Asia, my home continent, was a real full-circle moment 💚 And so pleased that in partnership with Carousell Group, Vaayu was able to highlight and promote the environmental advantages of second-hand purchases across multiple markets, showcasing how the circular economy can significantly lower carbon emissions and impact. The Circular Economy Impact Report by Carousell Group, powered by Vaayu’s comprehensive lifecycle data, quantified the lesser environmental impact of embracing more circular practices. Our collaboration birthed the most extensive dataset of its kind in Greater Southeast Asia, offering in-depth insights into avoided impact at scale 🌏 #VaayuPartner #circulareconomy #recommerce #avoidedemissions https://lnkd.in/d_DWzKwv

♻️Interested in knowing more about the possibilities to approach Circular Economy? The Northern Netherlands shows that the circular economy transition starts with a support base of companies that want to invest in and work on it. National and European scale is often still too big to get started, locally too small. The region offers the right scale! Bart Volkers, director of the Circulair Groningen Association, shares how regional collaboration based on a public-private partnership is a successful approach for initiating circularity, during the official World Circular Economy Forum WCEF Accelerator session ‘Inspiring best practices from a circular hub in the Northern Netherlands’. “Purchasing authorities are essential to get circular value chains going. Knowledge and educational institutions are invaluable to train new talent and to make state-of-art knowledge accessible. Together with the right amount of scale to get started, regional cooperation from a private-public partnership is an effective approach for grassroots circular change” Excited to learn more and find your potential partner in circularity? At Muuse, we’re proud to be making a real difference in the fight against climate change. So far, we’ve saved over 50 tonnes of CO2-equivalent emissions! That’s like driving an average car around the Earth five times or planting 800 trees. 🌍🌱 Our reusable packaging system has been shown to produce up to 81% fewer emissions compared to single-use disposables — thanks to our Life Cycle Assessment with Unravel Carbon. And at Our Tampines Hub (OTH) in Singapore, we’ve already saved 1.2 tonnes of CO2-equivalent emissions since November 2022. With increased uptake, we could achieve savings of up to 21.3 tonnes of CO2 per year — the equivalent of 10 flights from Singapore to Toronto! It’s clear that reusables aren’t just better for the environment, they’re also a practical and impactful solution to reduce emissions and waste. We’re excited about the future of reuse and making sustainability the norm. #Muuse #ReuseRevolution #Reuse

2024-11-02 | 🌱 Tech Parks: Shaping a Sustainable Future! 🌍 AsSalam… Hello everyone, Norzul here! The journey towards sustainability is not just a goal; it's a commitment to our planet, our communities, and our future generations. I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of Cypark’s mission to bring this vision to life through the German Technology Park (GTP) in Melaka. This initiative represents more than just infrastructure; it embodies a movement toward greener, more responsible innovation. The GTP, in collaboration with Melaka Corporation and Jakel Capital, is set to revolutionize how we think about sustainable development. By harnessing green technology and renewable energy, this tech park will showcase how we can reduce carbon footprints, foster collaboration, and set new standards for environmental stewardship. 🌿 Are you as passionate about creating a sustainable future as we are? Share your insights on how tech can drive sustainability or tell us how you envision a greener tomorrow! #NorzulInspires #LeadershipMoment #CLIMPS #Cypark2 #SustainableFuture #GreenInnovation #TechForGood #EnvironmentalStewardship #RenewableEnergy
Melaka has seen a steady rise in sustainable investments, from an EV manufacturing facility to a solar farm and a recycling factory that transforms plastic bottles into high-value products for brands like Nike. Its efforts towards building a self-sustainable future are set to expand once operations of the German Technology Park (GTP) begin in 2028. The GTP would showcase how tech parks can drive sustainability moving forward. First, utilising green technology to help reduce carbon footprints; and second, encouraging R&D in green energy to ensure constant innovation (a value that we hold dearly here at Cypark). Our Memorandum of Agreement with Melaka Corporation and Jakel Capital will see us plan, generate, and distribute energy to the GTP. ☘️🌎
