🚨 Luxembourg: New accounting thresholds in Luxembourg — what companies and groups need to know🚨 On October 25, 2024, the Grand-Ducal Regulation (GDR) was enacted, updating accounting thresholds in Luxembourg. This change aligns with the EU Delegated Directive (2023/2775) and aims to address inflation since the 2013 EU Accounting Directive while reducing administrative burdens for businesses. The GDR modifies key provisions of the Luxembourg Company Law and the Accounting Law, impacting how companies are classified for accounting and reporting. Certain groups may now qualify for exemptions under these new criteria. These changes will apply retroactively to financial years starting on or after January 1, 2023, with practical effects expected from 2025.
