Recycling | Sustainability | Community

I’m not one to post on LinkedIn often, but this morning I found myself self reflecting over the last few months from the recent news shared with me. Over the past weekend, Return-It had hit a huge milestone with Hallam Depot reaching 10,000,000 containers processed since we opened our doors. It’s moments like this that remind me what got me drawn to join this company in the first place. Huge diversions away from landfill, large water and energy savings alongside reductions of environmental impact, whilst also helping out the wider community. Running the busiest depot in the Return-It network has its challenges, but building up and leading a resilient team from the ground up has been the most rewarding. We couldn’t have done this without the support from our colleagues at Return-It and major stakeholders such as RVM Systems and parent company ReGroup; however, it is the day-to-day positive interactions with my team members and seeing the excitement from customers coming in that make it most enjoyable. If you asked me two years ago, I never would’ve imagined I’d help run a recycling depot, but here we are now, content and helping the drive towards a more sustainable and circular future. #CDSVic #returnit #recycle #sustainability
