𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰? Each year, 13 million tonnes of greenhouse gases are generated by organic waste in Australia’s landfills. To combat this, Australia’s National Waste Plan aims to cut organic waste in landfills by 50% by 2030! Living Earth Australia is stepping up to the challenge! With the recent addition of the powerful EDGE TRM831 trommel screen to complement their EDGE TRT622, they’ve increased production, converting more waste into nutrient-rich compost. Their aim is to help restore depleted soils in South Australia, improve crop health, and bring us closer to a greener future. 🌊🌍 [WORLD OCEANS DAY]🌍🌊 The proliferation of plastic waste scattered on the beaches and in the sea around Jimbaran and Uluwatu has become a serious problem. The invasion of beach waste in the Badung Regency area is increasingly alarming. Sadly, the dominant waste is plastic. This waste results from 80% of activities carried out on land, such as industry, sewage, unprocessed waste, and even tourism. Aware of this waste problem, the Westerlaken Foundation, together with Prevented Ocean Plastic, organized a beach clean-up at Thomas Beach. This activity successfully collected 82 kg of waste, mostly non-organic waste like plastic. Join us in our next activity to minimize the disruption to the ecology and economy of freshwater and marine waters and prevent waste from endangering our marine animals and biota. Together, we can make a big difference.
