It is my favorite time of the year again, Explore season (November 4th - 7th)! The session scheduler for Explore Europe in Barcelona just opened up, and that means things will start to ramp up fast for those speaking at the event. I have two sessions (register via this link: https://bit.ly/3TI44GW) at the event on vSAN, a deep dive and a roadmap session! One of those sessions filled up within 24 hours and has just been moved to a bigger room, sign up fast as I suspect both of them will fill up. There are plenty of other fantastic speakers and sessions though, if you haven't had a look make sure to check out the full content agenda here: https://brcm.tech/4dit6mI. As always there will also be many of you who haven't registered yet, I would highly encourage you to do so, as most of the deep dive sessions and sessions about futures fill up fast (queues were long last year!), you don't want to miss out on the chance to attend these sessions live and ask folks like Frank Denneman, Cormac Hogan, Alan Renouf, Chris McCain, and others everything you have always wanted to know about their area of expertise. On top of that, the "ask the expert sessions" are excellent opportunities to discuss various topics with your peers and a subject matter expert from Broadcom! So sign up, if you haven't done so just yet: https://brcm.tech/4gvCWEC. Last thing, if you see me walking around, don't be shy and say hi!

Each month this year, I've been documenting our dcdx journey through a series called 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒉𝒖𝒎𝒂𝒏. After our first pilot run last fall, we’ve been integrating them into select projects, making continuous improvements, and pushing the limits of their use cases. Owl Labs/Frank Weishaupt + dcdx/Andrew Roth recently shared their research on #GenZ ➡️ Forbes published 6 things Gen Z want to flourish in their careers (by fellow Ashevillian, Bryan Robinson, Ph.D). ⭐️ #Workplace Flexibility: Many Gen Z individuals desire workplace flexibility; however, they often feel ostracized for prioritizing work-life balance. Despite caring about their work, they face criticism for seeking flexibility. #HR ⭐️ Etiquette and Reliability: Gen Z workers value proper workplace etiquette and reliability. They appreciate clear communication, respect, and professionalism. Recognize these qualities and foster a positive work environment. ⭐️ Authenticity and Transparency: Gen Z appreciates authenticity from their employers. They want transparent #communication about company goals, challenges, and decisions. Honest feedback and open dialogue contribute to their job satisfaction. ⭐️ Career Development Opportunities: Gen Z seeks growth and development opportunities for skill-building, mentorship, and #career advancement. A supportive learning environment is crucial for professional growth. ⭐️ #Inclusion and #Diversity: Gen Z values diversity and inclusion. Employers should actively promote a diverse workforce, address biases, and create an inclusive culture. Recognizing different perspectives enhances #creativity and #collaboration. ⭐️ Purpose-Driven Work: Gen Z wants to work for companies with a purpose beyond profit. They seek meaningful work that aligns with their values. #Leaders can attract and retain Gen Z talent by emphasizing their organization’s positive impact (i.e. #sustainability, #DEI, #social and #community programs, etc.). #CHRO #CEO #COO
