A new preprint from us... again on a different topic! This time about ultrafast magneto-optical effects in spinel ferrimagnets using mid-IR radiation. We show how exciting resonantly one of the two spin sublattices drives a different dynamics compared to the non-resonant case giving information on the dynamical superexchange interaction. The interaction between a #protein and a dye can be monitored using #fluorescence lifetime measurements. While steady-state fluorescence is dependent on the concentration of the sample and illumination, and returns an averaged signal of all the fluorescence species, time‐resolved fluorescence provides an absolute measurement and unique life-time values for each fluorescence species in the sample.
