The key to achieving community growth and prosperity is creating a nurturing environment for local businesses. As key stakeholders in our community's development, the first question to ask yourself about the community is, 'Do we have the right conditions for small business startups?' The second question is, 'If yes, what are we doing to support these businesses beyond the startup years?' Over the next ninety days, I will be unveiling a series of strategies, tactics, 'to-dos,' or ideas that could potentially contribute to the creation of a nurturing environment. Are you eager to learn about the first one? Here it is: Establishing a small business advisory board for local government --One of the strategies is the establishment of a small business advisory board for the local government. This board, consisting of seasoned entrepreneurs and business leaders, can offer invaluable insights to policymakers on the practical challenges that small businesses face. By bridging the gap between the government and the small business community, this board can play a pivotal role in shaping policies that truly bolster local entrepreneurship and economic development.

"Immigrant entrepreneurs, like the majority of Latino business owners in Georgia, have been key in stabilizing neighborhoods and commercial retail corridors much like in Detroit, the Great Lakes Region, and towns in Iowa. These businesses generate millions of revenue dollars and hire employees to move the state forward. Hence, the entire community benefits when Latino entrepreneurs reach their potential." - 2018 Georgia Latino Entrepreneurship Study, a research project of the Latino Community Fund (LCF Georgia). Let us help you reach your potential! https://lnkd.in/e_-DnRC4

Redefining Collaboration Our Journey with the Levantarse 'Rise Together' Programme Jumping into the Levantarse 'Rise Together' programme with Dechomai Ltd has been an adventure. pRESPECT, we've always dreamed of a world where communities aren't just surviving on the breadcrumbs of traditional funding streams but thriving through innovative, collaborative partnerships. Sharing our Mindset and Self-awareness sessions with more than 130 incredible individuals, from teenagers to those in their golden years, from every walk of life, has vividly illustrated why we started this journey. It's been a wild ride, seeing firsthand how outdated funding models can stifle the very innovation they seek to foster, creating unnecessary hurdles for organisations eager to collaborate. But here's where it gets good Our collaboration with Dechomai has been a game-changer and a real-life example of how to break down those invisible barriers to create something genuinely empowering. We've seamlessly integrated our services with Dechomai, witnessing the magic of their dedicated team as they meet people exactly where they're at—inspiring big dreams and providing the tools and resources in the form of partners and experts to chase them. Together, Dechomai crafted a one-stop support hub, not by labelling it but by genuinely listening to and responding to the community's needs. As we wrap up this incredible programme with a final conference, we're not just celebrating our achievements; we're looking ahead, fueled by the support of The Scottish Government pathway funds. This isn't the end but a beacon for what's possible when grassroots organisations, entrepreneurs, and entire communities are given the reins to drive their own change. This journey has been more than a project; it's a loud call to funders, organisations, and all of us in the social sector to think bigger and bolder about how we support and engage with our communities. By embracing holistic collaboration, we're not just dreaming of a more sustainable and equitable future—we're actively building it. Let's keep this momentum going. Together, we can redefine what it means to support and empower our communities, proving that the impact we can create is unlimited when we join forces. #power #communities #entrepreneurship #collaboration #ecosystem.
We are looking forward to hosting our Entrepreneurship Conference to celebrate the achievements of the 200 participants who have completed our Levantarse course, as part of the pathways prestart fund, supported by The Scottish Government
