At the 2022 ICA in New Zealand, this excellent research from Montpellier was presented. Typhlodromus recki has been identified as a potential tomato champion, however it has not been found in North America yet. I encourage European biocontrol producers to give this mite a good try in the field as we need all of the tools we can get for tomato, especially a mite like this. https://lnkd.in/g4P4JbkN

Someone on the Bug Mars page wrote/predicted "whatever is cheapest". < That!! [incoming Hexapod plug] #Hexapod software automates insect farming with remote sensing and predictive analytics, reducing production labor costs and increasing efficiency. Meaning, less work and more bugs for cheaper. Anyone in other alternative protein sectors able to share their cost reduction status? #FutureOfProtein #SustainableFood #InsectFarming
[Question] In 30 years, what will be the main source of protein for the world? A) Plant-based “meat” B) Insect protein C) Lab-grown meat D) Algae What is your prediction? #FoodTech #altprotein #FutureFood #BugMars #BugsOnMars

Over the past century, the dairy industry has witnessed remarkable advancements in cow productivity. Thanks to population genetics and farm data accessibility, milk production per cow has more than doubled in the last 50 years. This leap is attributed to genetic selection, enhanced nutritional guidelines, and improved farm management practices, including animal comfort and artificial insemination. These developments have significantly improved feed efficiency, allowing a larger portion of ingested nutrients to be converted into milk. Dive deeper into the evolution of dairy efficiency in our e-book "What have we learned about feed efficiency in dairy cows over the years?" Get it free: https://lnkd.in/dZf-BbFz
