As seen on TV, thirty fans met former Paris Saint-Germain player Javier Pastore last week to enjoy a special moment together and play five-a-side football (or soccer, if you ask the guy from Denver). Some highlights: ✈️ One guest traveled from Denver, Colorado for the experience. ✏️ A classroom or two were missing students, as kids skipped school to play against their idol. ⚽ Pastore was all smiles all week, with guests now calling this legend a friend. More experiences are coming, including a football match in Athens with Djibril Cissé and a padel tournament hosted by Marco Materazzi. Next up? Cooking class in London alongside 1998 World Cup champion Emmanuel Petit.

🏏 What a game! England's semi-final victory over the Netherlands was a masterclass in determination, skill, and teamwork. From dominating the first half with a sensational goal by H. As I enjoyed this Father's Day weekend watching the Euro Cup with my kids, I'm reminded of the beauty of the game and the importance of teamwork. This tourney gives us an opportunity to reflect on the tournament's rich history and the teams that have etched their names in football glory. Individual talent has always been crucial, but we've seen time and again that it's not just about having stars on your team - it's about a cohesive unit working towards a common goal. Johan Cruyff's legendary words resonate deeply: "Football is a team sport, and no one player can win a game alone." We've seen teams with less individual talent achieve greatness through teamwork and cohesion, like Spain's 2010 World Cup-winning team, who were a masterclass in teamwork, with Andrés Iniesta saying, "We are a team, a family, working together towards our goals." Similarly, Germany's 2014 World Cup-winning coach, Joachim Löw, attributed their success to team unity, saying, "The team is the star, not individual players." As we look ahead to the 2024 Euro Cup, let's remember that it's not just individual brilliance, but teamwork, strategy, and a shared vision that will lift the trophy. While we'll see moments of individual genius from players like Ronaldo, Mbappé, Musiala and Kane, it's the teams that harness their collective strength that will achieve true glory. So, as we celebrate the beautiful game and the teams that make it special, let's remember that greatness is not just individual skill, but collective genius. Who will be the 2024 champions? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain - a united team effort, shared vision, and passion burning brighter than the brightest star will achieve true glory! And as you cheer on your favorite team, remember that these principles apply to your own team, whether in business, sports, or life - together, you can achieve greatness! #EuroCup #TeamWork #Soccer #Football #UnityInDiversity

Weekend post. Yesterday’s match between Germany 🇩🇪 and Spain 🇪🇸 was definitely worth the Final of this European Championship. Now many are disappointed with the referee’s decision “No Penalty” in a situation, when Cucurella’s open hand met the ball ⚽️, but if we are truly looking for a Fair Play, we should also admit, that the referee should’ve shown a yellow card and then later a red card to Toni Kroos long before that episode with Cucurella’s hand. How in this case this game would have gone? Not hard to guess. So, the facts are: at the beginning of the game this referee did a big favor to Germany 🇩🇪, and then later to Spain 🇪🇸 - not to be accused of taking one’s side. The rest should have been done ✅ by the teams themselves on a football field. Spain 🇪🇸 won, but no one can say, that Germany 🇩🇪 fought not hard enough or did anything wrong. Football ⚽️ is like Life 🍀 or Business 👨💼: sometimes you did everything right, but still lost in a big battle. The only lesson out of it is to stand up and keep moving toward your goals. This young German 🇩🇪 team with lots of talented players and a brilliant coach can have a big future. If they keep growing, they might become World Champions 🏆 in 2 years. Yesterday’s match against Spain 🇪🇸 - definitely the best team of this tournament 🏟️ - showed it to everyone. Photo: Sportskeeda

Football's spirit not yet fit to Olympic standards ... And still a terrible example against sportsmanship Ok - once in a while, I rant...and this despite fantastic final in the Olympic games tonight - It’s astonishing how rampant faking injuries and dives are still happening in football. This is not just embarrassing; it’s a blatant contradiction to the Olympic spirit, which emphasizes fair play, respect, and integrity. While footballers writhe in exaggerated agony at the slightest touch, athletes in other sports demonstrate real resilience and sportsmanship. The obvious example is rugby, where players push through genuine injuries without theatrics, or basketball, and handball where the game thrives on agility and genuine skill rather than deceit. Football needs to take a page from these sports and uphold the true essence of athletic competition. Enough with the theatrics – let's see some real sportsmanship. Football, a sport loved by so many on the planet, has a duty to carry and promote strong values ❤️

We do what we do best. When everyone talks we play the game. Simple
This is always the thing when outsiders come in and steal the show. I spoke about this on a panel recently—The journey of South African teams in European rugby competitions has sparked loads of criticism. This is after the Stormers won the first United Rugby Championship and the Sharks triumphed in the Challenge Cup this year. It's tough being the new kid on the block. We've faced scheduling challenges and logistical issues, but we've also shown that we can play with the big dogs even when not at full strength. Some of the remarks against us have been outright petty. We deserve our place at the table.
