Congratulation Arsalan A. for the publication of your first scientific article! In this paper, we assess the ability of BEL1D (a stochastic approach for the inversion of 1D geophysical data) to invert time-domain electromagnetic sounding. We also speed-up the approach by quickly rejecting samples not fitting the data, and we analyze the impact of the error on the forward solver in the posterior distribution. Finally, we investigate the role of the prior distribution on the solution and apply the technique in a saltwater intrusion context. The new approach is efficient and very promising to invert stochastically large data sets such as those acquired with airborne EM.
