I can't believe it's already been a week since returning from the International Social Summit, #IntSS! Time flies when you're having fun (or when you’re sleep-deprived from networking, but who’s counting?). I joined Webcertain in 2014 and, believe it or not, I was the office hermit. I avoided events like they were a plague of unscheduled meetings. I kept my head down, focusing solely on my job, convinced I had little to offer beyond my immediate responsibilities and wasn’t quite the social butterfly necessary for such occasions. Fast forward to now, and I must say, this company has been a significant part of my personal and professional evolution. From becoming a mother to climbing the career ladder, Webcertain has been there every step of the way. I've had the privilege of learning from everyone around me – from the management team to colleagues, clients, partners, and I'm 100% including the cleaners. (Never underestimate the wisdom that comes with a drink and a chat in the break room.) Over these 10 years, I've been entrusted with roles I once dreamt of. The journey has been one of continuous growth, people have often seen me through lenses far more generous than my own self-assessment. In November, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and attended the International Search Summit. Last week, I took another leap with the International Social Summit. WOW, what an experience! Meeting new people, witnessing true camaraderie, and getting things done with a smile – it was truly inspiring. As we embark on our journey with TransPerfect, I am excited to continue this path of learning and self-discovery. If the past decade is anything to go by, the future promises even more growth and adventure. In short, the event was fantastic. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it, for the opportunity to reflect on this journey, and for the exciting road ahead. We’ve just celebrated two years of Hire Abroad. We started with a team of 5, and now, 2 years later, we’re working with 20 people from 10 countries. Here are the 5 most important lessons on team management I’ve learned along the way. 1️⃣ Hire slowly and by values ↳ Only hire people who share the same values as you. It's better to take time and make the right decision than to rush it. 2️⃣ Surround yourself with smart people ↳ Create a management team of people who are smarter than you and can surprise you every once in a while. 3️⃣ Work with freelancers ↳ I work with freelancers because they share the same ‘free’ mindset. They have a more entrepreneurial mindset and aren’t looking for comfort but for freedom. This saves a lot of stress. 4️⃣ Embrace diversity in teamwork ↳ Working with people from all over the world excites and enriches me. It’s amazing how diverse perspectives can improve solutions. 5️⃣ Challenge yourself and others ↳ Work with people who challenge you daily and force you to improve your skill set. Growth comes from discomfort. [bonus lesson] 6️⃣ Trust your team and let go ↳Give trust to people. Let go. Although they might do things differently at first, they will grow beyond your expectations over time. —- Building an incredible team takes time and patience. Above all, it takes a shared sense of purpose and values. I’m grateful for everyone who’s been part of this journey, and I couldn’t be more excited about what’s coming next. Here’s to the next chapter! 🌍

What a year it's been! 🚀 When I first joined Third Pillar Recruiting, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. I didn’t know the company well, and if I’m being honest, I had my concerns as TPR wasn't big on marketing its amazing workplace to the outside world. In the meantime, I took a leap of faith to divide my life between Vienna and Tirana, and I knew I was embarking on a journey of change. It wasn’t just about a new role; it was about redefining my life, my approach to work, and embracing the shift from hybrid to remote working. At first, the uncertainty felt too much. Would it work? Could I thrive in such a setup? Fast forward to today, and I couldn’t feel more differently 😄 This past year has been extraordinary, not just professionally, but personally as well! I’ve learned that stepping outside your comfort zone often leads to incredible opportunities. Overseeing #HROperations, #EmployeeRelations, #EmployeePerformance, and #TalentAcquisition while managing a small team has been one of the most rewarding challenges of my career. It’s given me the chance to shape an organization that values people, flexibility, and results. Along the way, I have also embraced a new way of balancing work and life across cities and borders, working with great people in a supportive environment. Today, DUAL Europe's new Onboarding Journey is officially live and ready to support 100+ employees from day one. 🎉   Here are a few seemingly obvious insights I gained along the way:   - 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁-𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱. Managing project timelines in a growing organization with constantly shifting priorities and multiple stakeholders can be challenging. Patience is key, and it’s important not to overpromise early on. - 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁. The organization may not always be ready for the full spectrum of best practices right away. Focus on future-proofing. The product will evolve with the mission. - 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹. For yourself. The end product might differ from your initial vision - and that's okay. Sometimes, these changes are for a good reason and lead to even better outcomes. And… Don't overlook proofreading.
