I don’t normally post my music video work on here, quite niche and not sure how many of you are into extreme heavy metal! 😂 However, I’m quite proud of this latest video I made before I start my new job at Dovetail Games next week. Entirely CG. Mountains and terrains were made in Houdini using heightfields and shaders. Oceans made with niagara fluids. Blizzard and pyro with niagara particles. Additional pyro and wind gusts in Houdini Flipbooks. Additional assets with Megascans. Brought together and colour graded in Unreal Engine. Transitions and additional VFX in DaVinci Resolve

I'm really enjoying FF7 Rebirth, but have gotten some probably unintended laughs out of the juxtaposition of radical environmentalism and modern open-world mechanics. Story's like "Look at these ugly mako pipelines cluttering this beautiful field! Shinra is the worst. Harvesting the planet's resources is wrong!" Meanwhile the gameplay is like "Lost in the wilderness? Simply follow these convenient mako pipelines to find your way. And if you need a potion, you can craft one by harvesting the planet's resources!"

Surreal to hear Bassmaster Elite Series Angler and Omnia pro Patrick Walters talk about how he used the Omnia PRO mapping app to help him win $100k on Lake Murray in South Carolina. Patrick used the exclusive water temp and water clarity layers matched with wind and NAVIONICS S.r.l. map layers to find spawning blue back herring and secure the win. Not only can we send you to the water with confidence on the right baits, we can help you build your plan. Here's a list of items he points out were keys to finding big bass: (1) Water Clarity - Blue back herring, the predominant food source for bass, don't like cloudy water so he found clear water and avoided areas of dark, stained water. (2) Water Temp - He avoided areas where it was warmer (too warm) than the rest of the lake. Omnia's satellite derived water temp layer helped him find this variability (3) Wind Layer - He looked for areas where the wind was pushing against the bank. This disrupts the surface causing bait fish food to surface ->which surfaces the bait fish -> which makes the bass easier to catch (commonly towards the surface of the banks). (4) Contours - He utilized the Navionics mapping layer to find optimal slope for feeding. (5) Bottom Hardness - He looked at the hard and soft bottom layer from C-Map to find hard substrate which correlated with finding fish.
