This came up in my feed on LinkedIn today as I was browsing. Anniversary or memory of torment? Jacques Chalaux was a Senior Regional Manager at Positronic France, with only three or four years to go until retirement. As soon as Amphenol acquired Positronic in 2021, Jacques was let go under the pretext of economic distress due to impact from COVID. Paradoxically, 2021 was a record growth year for Amphenol and Positronic bettered 2020 with over 20% growth YoY. Nevertheless, Jacques was useless to the company, nobody cared. To the new Positronic Amphenol, Jacques was redundant and COVID gave them the best opportunity anybody could wish for to unload of human burden. This is a person who gave nearly 30 years of his life to a career and he was one of the most successful Regional Managers the company had in Europe. At times, the performance in his region alone kept the Positronic French division alive. In hindsight, here comes the question: Is it ethical for a 3 billion dollar company to turn a blind eye to such practice? I would like to invite Adam Norwitt to respond publicly to this question.

The intoPIX Vision & Automotive team will be very proud to showcase their TicoRAW technology in a brand new "perception" demonstrator at #CES 2025. It will demonstrate the zero latency transport of RAW HD video stream from multiple cameras on a single 1Gbps ethernet cable, a practical solution to reduce the cost of cabling in Automotive E/E architecture. This solution will also reduce the power consumption of camera modules and avoid overheating issues. intoPIX technology has been combined with NVidia Deepstream library, allowing for car and pedestrians detection. The demonstrator allows to visualize the absence of impact in the detection at compression ratio up to 10:1.
