Till eternity, they will live to remember OCC OCC is an acronym for Operation Christmas Child. It is a religious organisation that tangibly demonstrates the love of God to children around the world. Through local churches they share the good news of JESUS CHRIST, afterwards give a once in a lifetime package to every child. (A well packaged gift) Watch the brief video below to get a glimpse of the amazing works and the beautiful smiles OCC puts on the faces of children around the world. A take home for believers: 👇👇👇 Do not forget or neglect to do kindness and good, to be generous and distribute and contribute to the needy (of the church as embodiment and proof of fellowship), for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. PS: Have a view of what one packaged box looks like in the comments section 🥰

As Christians, the question "What is missions?" drives much of what we do in ministry. What are we called to do? Who do we reach? And what is God’s plan for us in the world? We know that in Matthew 28:19–20, we are called to share the gospel of Jesus with the lost—but what does that look like practically? These are all questions Greg Barshaw addresses in his new book, Go, Engage, Invest: Touching Lives with the Hope of Christ. Read more on today's blog! https://lnkd.in/gWBFf_BR

New 90-Day Devotional on the Christian Life Christians have been brought from death to life by God's sovereign grace. Chosen by the Father, redeemed by the Son, and renewed by the Holy Spirit, we enjoy the many blessings of salvation. Yet the greatest gift of our new life is communion with Christ Himself. Our highest privilege is to serve the Lord as we grow in conformity to Him. "Our Great Salvation" is a new ninety-day devotional that guides you through biblical reflections on the Christian life. Draw insights from the theological wisdom of the Protestant Reformation as you contemplate the character of God, His blessings in salvation, our privilege of worship, and the lifelong pursuit of holiness. Understanding these four elements of our life in Christ is crucial for following Him faithfully until we see Him face-to-face.

Church Engaging Society, Part 5. DIAKONIA, or Serving the Community is how we show the love of God to people both inside and outside of our faith community through acts of mercy, relief rehab and development. The church engages in educational ministry services such as establishing schools of all levels. The church conducts free medical-dental clinics and livelihood programs for the poor of our communities. Romans 12:1 tells us to “… present your bodies as a living sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.” Serving God and serving neighbour is a direct recognition that the earth and everything in it belongs to God. This means we don't only serve those who share our faith communities, but we also serve those who are at this point outside of those faith communities. The ultimate goal, of course in all of this is to bring people back to a reconciled relationship with the father. In Part 6, we will look at KERYGMA, or Proclamation.

Nobody earns their way to heaven through good works. God saves us by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Still, good works are important as a loving response to God's great gift of salvation. In fact, as His workmanship, He has created us for good works. Here's the August 26 devotional from my "Next Step Devotions" book, based on Ephesians 2:1-10. https://lnkd.in/eEHNDVtK

#movingontoHispurpose. Did you know that the Church is God’s primary instrument of change in the world? It is a new humanity created by the resurrection of Jesus Christ that expresses itself as a community of people that place their faith in Christ. Wouldn’t it be a great joy to see more gospel centered Churches planted in your community? Well if that is your desire, then listen to this>>> https://lnkd.in/eVYq__aR

To all my Catholic friends and family: It can be deeply challenging to feel like your spiritual home is slipping away when churches close their doors, but your faith is not confined to a building. The Church is the Body of Christ, made up of all believers, and your connection to God transcends any physical space. Remember the words of Christ: "Where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I with them" (Matthew 18:20). Your faith is rooted in your relationship with God, nourished by prayer, Scripture, and acts of love and service. If you feel isolated, seek out small faith communities, even if they meet in homes or online. Reflect on the lives of early Christians who worshipped in secret yet kept their faith alive. Remember, the sacraments are vital, so strive to find ways to receive them when possible. If nearby churches are scarce, reach out to neighboring parishes, or consider finding a way to participate in faith-based gatherings even outside traditional settings......

Imagine you taking care of the needs of over 200,000 souls. Quite stressful, right? But that's what some of our friends have committed their lives to do by taking the Gospel to other cultures. So much to do! What's your task for today? In 2 minutes, pray to the LORD to send timely help (both physical and spiritual) to missionaries serving among the unreached. PS: Remember that: Unreached people are those among whom Christ is largely unknown and the church is relatively insufficient to make Christ known to its broader population without outside help. Unreached people groups don’t know the person of Christ and don’t have an indigenous church presence around them.

As the latter days draw near, righteousness and wickedness will engage in combat. It reveals the characteristics of the false religious system that opposes Christ. It will make it possible for Christians to identify and discern between a genuine church and a counterfeit church. It is crucial for believers to realize that they have a duty to uphold the faith that was previously taught to them. In this book, Solomon Aondo sheds light on the following: • The second coming of Christ and the rapture of the faithful church • The great tribulation and the reign of the Antichrist. • The new heaven and the new earth. • The characteristics of the last days. • The consummation of God’s blessed kingdom. • The millennial reign of Christ and his establishment of his kingdom on earth. • The believers judgments and various types of rewards https://lnkd.in/es9FVFv4
