🌟 Hospitality & Catering: Driving Growth in the Middle East 🌟
The Middle East continues to solidify its position as a global hub for hospitality and catering. With key cities like Dubai, Riyadh, and Doha leading the charge, the region is witnessing rapid expansion fueled by robust government investments and visionary projects.
The UAE alone saw a 22% increase in ADR (Average Daily Rate) in 2022, with a forecast for further growth in 2023 as the region attracts both leisure and business travelers alike. Catering services are evolving too, with a focus on sustainability and digital innovation—from reducing single-use plastics to embracing contactless service models that enhance the guest experience.
As the region prepares for mega-events like Expo 2025 in Osaka and Vision 2030 in Saudi Arabia, hospitality and catering businesses are scaling to meet growing demand, contributing billions to local economies and creating a wealth of opportunities for professionals and investors alike.
With this momentum, the Middle East is positioning itself as not just a gateway between East and West, but a leading destination for world-class hospitality. 🌍🏨🍽

Industry Insights: Booming Business Events in Sabah - A Rising Hub for International Conferences and Hospitality Growth
The Business Events industry in Sabah is experiencing robust growth, underscored by a wave of new hotel developments and planned projects aimed at meeting the increasing accommodation demands of both local and international visitors. By 2026, approximately 1,000 additional hotel rooms will be available, catering to a range of budgets.
This expansion reflects the vitality of Sabah’s hospitality sector, which contributes approximately 50 percent to the region's revenue. Last year, tourism alone generated over RM8 billion from 2.6 million arrivals.
A key development in this sector is the forthcoming Pullman Hotel, set to be constructed adjacent to the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC). This strategic location will enhance convenience for Business Events attendees, providing seamless access to the convention centre.
These advancements affirm Sabah’s commitment to bolstering its position as a premier destination for Business Events, with SICC at the heart of this growth.
