Last week Blue Yonder, one of the biggest end-to-end supply chain platforms, with over 3,000 customers across 76 countries, including retailers, manufacturers and logistics services providers (including well known chains as Starbucks or Sainsbury’s), suffered a ransomware attack: https://lnkd.in/eE3adNmJ Several of our clients at One eSecurity in different countries were affected and, beyond the obvious impact to their operations, they were understandably worried to have the ransomware actor spread to their networks. Our Threat Hunting team has been at maximum alert during this week to detect any potential threat in our client's networks, and our IR Team has been supporting our clients in the process to restore normal operations, giving them the required assurance. In one more example or supply chain attacks (never more appropriate term than this time) it is sad to see once more this type of attacks succeed with a catastrophic impact. Organizations should step up their Detection & Response strategies and ensure that they have powerful Advanced Threat Detection in place (Reactive -SOC Monitoring- + Proactive -Threat Hunting- + Deception) as well as an effective Incident Response strategy. We at One eSecurity have been specializing in Threat Detection & Response for the last 17 years, and our mission is to help organizations to prepare for and mitigate the Business Impact of this type of attacks, so contact us if you need help to prepare for the next ransomware attack and maximize the opportunity to detect it in time.
