It Takes an Incredible Team” Watching Viva Global come to life and grow over the past few months has been a surreal experience. We’re still a young company, but it’s moving fast—faster than I imagined. We’re connecting U.S. companies with top-tier talent from across LATAM, building meaningful partnerships, and making a real impact. I couldn’t be more excited, but I also know this: it’s not just because of me. Viva Global is taking off because of the people driving it forward every single day. People who believe in the mission, who see the potential, and who put in the hard work to make it happen. Running multiple companies isn’t about doing more work myself—it’s about building teams that are better than me. It’s about hiring people who are smarter, more passionate, and more skilled than I am in their respective areas. When I look at Viva Global’s progress, I see more than just numbers or new clients. I see a team that’s stepping up, owning the mission, and pushing boundaries. They’re not just executing my vision; they’re expanding it in ways I hadn’t even thought of. It’s easy to get caught up in the grind of building a business, to focus on the day-to-day, and lose sight of what makes a company great. But the reality is, that growth comes from having the right people in the right roles, empowered to make decisions and drive change. That’s what we have at Viva Global. It’s not a big team, but it’s a powerful one. As we move into our next phase—scaling up even more and launching new services—it’s the team’s commitment, creativity, and resilience that will make all the difference. You can’t scale a company alone. You need a team that shares your vision and has the skills and drive to turn it into a reality. To the Viva Global team: Thank you for making this possible. We’re just getting started. #StartupGrowth #TeamBuilding #Leadership #BusinessStrategy #VivaGlobal #Latam #RemoteWork

Heading to Paris today with hubby, for a short break and to soak up some Olympic inspiration 🧡 This city means so much to me, personally and professionally. The 3 years spent in this special city on one of the biggest projects of my financial crime career, size-wise and growth-wise, were some of the best and most challenging times. My rate of development in my technical and professional skills there is probably second only to starting my own business! None of it would have been possible without the amazing team I was surrounded by, and the support and encouragement of some very talented and special individuals. They became more than colleagues, they are mentors, confidants and friends. Special shout outs to Bochra El May, Aaron Stowell, Rink Bakker, David Burfoot and Joydeep Sengupta 🧡🧡. Forever grateful for all the knowledge, encouragement and compassion you extended to me, and OF COURSE all the fun had in the process. The people you surround yourself has a monumental impact on your experiences. Surround yourself with good ones! ————————————————————— The reality of a break from work, as many of you dedicated professionals in my network know, is more pressure and workload around the edges to account for time away from the desk. Fitting recharge time in around busy work and life is HARD. So for me, it is so important that when you do get the time, you are able to recharge those batteries effectively. On my next workshop (I’ll pop the link in the comments) I’ll be sharing some of my tips for refilling the cup effectively, in ways that are feasible in a busy schedule. Small steps, with big impact is my motto! And I’ll be practicing them myself over the next fews days 🧡. A bientiot! 🇫🇷 #reflection #appreciation #workcommunity #restandrefuel

Hello, wonderful people!🌟 Let's dive into something crucial this week. Friday 4 : "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)🌈" These three concepts are like the pillars of a strong, respectful workplace. They're all about ensuring everyone gets a fair chance to shine and feel valued. 💪 Diversity: Think of it as embracing our differences! In a workplace, diversity means having a mix of people from various backgrounds, cultures, and abilities. It's like having a vibrant palette of colors instead of just one shade. Imagine a team where folks from Japan, Brazil, and Kenya collaborate – that's diversity in action! 🌍 Equity: It's about fairness for all! Equity ensures that everyone, regardless of where they come from, has equal opportunities. Picture a job opening where every applicant, whether from a small town or a big city, has the same shot at success. That's equity in play. ⚖️ Inclusion: This is all about making everyone feel like they belong. In an inclusive workplace, every voice is heard, valued, and respected. Whether you're an introvert or an extrovert, you feel welcomed and appreciated for who you are. 🤝 When companies embrace DEI, they become hubs of innovation and creativity. They attract top talent from diverse backgrounds, making them stronger and more competitive. It's a win-win for everyone involved! 🚀 And don't forget to get ready for next Friday's session!🌟 #DEI #Diversity #Equity #Inclusion #WorkplaceCulture #11Fridays #KnowledgeSharing

I've had the good fortune of working at more than a handful of companies throughout my career, enough of them that I am clear on what suits me and what doesn't. Priority #1 = GOOD PEOPLE. I need (in no particular order) amiable, fun, calm, smart, balanced, small-ego'd, life-cherishing, (dog-loving-preferred) people. Next...a great, big, beautiful STEEP LEARNING CURVE...if I'm not boldly going where Jeff has never gone before, I'm just plain bored. There must also be RELEVANCE...whatever product, service, or company I represent must provide true solutions for today's new demands and challenges. Lastly, I need to LOVE THE PRODUCT. Some salespeople can sell anything (and many do). I can't. Last week I began a new journey with ReachTV. Our CEO, Lynnwood A. Bibbens and team have amassed the nation's largest CTV travel-media network. Via an expansive network of airport screens, we deliver the right blend of sports, business, and entertainment to the world's tastemakers. As an example, we will telecast every NFL game LIVE this season. Utilizing engaging content, the latest technologies and first party data, we connect brands with inspired, influential, yet elusive individuals who are on the go, in the know, and receptive to messaging. This opportunity reunites me with long-time friends and Scripps Networks colleagues, Andrew Eisner (who hired me!) and Danielle Mullahy, and my former Viacom colleagues, Bob Gruters, and Brian Bloodgood. I am awed by the scale and targeting capabilities of this media entity, and its ability to create immersive brand experiences and content...precisely what marketers need right now...and it all takes place within the empowering and inspiring halls of America's reimagined airports, now serving as thrilling destinations, all on their own. Thus, I believe I have found the perfect fit. Those that know me can attest to my joy of travelling whether it be for business or pleasure. The travel mindset is one of possibilities, and openness to new experiences and cultures. Please join me in seeing brands and businesses blossom as they realize the full potential and power of the traveler. Much more to come!

Yesterday, on the second day of CoreNet Berlin, I attended a fascinating session called Culture Club: Making Work Your Happy Place. While many of the day's sessions were interesting, this one struck a particular chord with me, as it invited me to look at my own behaviours at work, especially in the more challenging moments. The session examined how our reactions and behaviours, shaped by our feelings and thoughts, have an impact on culture in our work environment. It might sound obvious, but relationships, happiness, enjoyable workplaces, team activities, community building and inclusivity are all interrelated; by examining our own behaviours and reactions, we can ensure what we put into the culture aids its cohesion. From there, we can all help to create more harmonious places to work.

Here’s the deal: when your team spans different cultures, assume nothing. Don't expect everyone to share what they’re working on unless you make it easy. Set up a place where people can quickly drop updates—no fluff, just the facts. Whether it’s setting up for a trade show or launching a new product, make sure everyone knows what’s happening and why. Remember, cultural differences mean not everyone will volunteer info. But when they know the purpose behind their work, you’ll see more engagement.

#NewJob #FirstImpressions #Teamwork #Excitement The first three months at SANS EMEA have been like a hot air balloon ride: exciting, full of new impressions and breathtaking views. ⭐️Knowledge and aha moments: At first, I felt like a small balloon just taking off. Everything was new, unfamiliar, and full of challenges. But with each day, each new task, and each conversation with my colleagues, my knowledge and experience grew. I soaked everything up like a sponge, learning new processes, systems, and ways of working. It was a time full of aha moments and constant development. ⭐️Collegiality and cohesion: I was particularly impressed by the great atmosphere in the team. The colleagues are not only competent and helpful, but also open, friendly, and humorous. We laughed, learned, and celebrated a lot together. It's a great feeling to be part of such a positive and supportive community. ⭐️Events and shared experiences: In addition to work, there were also many great events and shared experiences that strengthened the team spirit and created unforgettable moments. Whether in Munich or Amsterdam together, it was always a great time. Just as a hot air balloon shows us the world from a different perspective, the past three months have given me new insights and perspectives. I have learned to look at things from different angles, to get to know myself better, and to redefine my goals. ⭐️Looking ahead: The first three months have been a complete success and have exceeded my expectations. I am excited for the further journey and look forward to climbing new heights together with my new colleagues. "The best way to predict the future is to create it." - Abraham Lincoln In this spirit, I am full of energy and anticipation for the next months 🚀 Special thanks to the wonderful DACHteam: William B.
