🐦⬛ Cultural differences in business ↔️ what to expect in Poland? Fear of cultural differences is normal when a company expands into a new market. However, it is worth getting to know the business culture in a given country in advance to avoid misunderstandings or disappointments. How does business culture in Poland differ from that in Scandinavian countries? 🆚 Power distance. Poland values hierarchical structures, which are quite the opposite of decentralized power and informal relationships, highly appreciated in the North. 🆚 Femininity and masculinity. Poland leans towards a masculine society, focusing on competition, which may be in opposition to the Scandinavian quality of life and cooperation, embodying a more feminine culture. 🆚 Uncertainty avoidance. Poland prefers rigid rules and is resistant to innovation; Scandinavian societies take a more flexible approach, embracing improvisation and risk-taking. Fortunately, every cultural and business difference can be understood and accepted - with the help of an experienced advisor operating in the target market, this will not be difficult! #businessdevelopment #strategi #ledelse #sales

Yesterday, I visited Bratislava. The transformation since my last visit in 2001 is stunning! From a post-Soviet economy to a thriving EU member, Slovakia’s 2004 🇪🇺 entry opened doors for foreign investments 🌍, while adopting the Euro 💶 in 2009 brought stability and investor confidence. Bratislava has earned its nickname as the ‘Detroit of Europe’ 🚗, producing over 1 million cars per year, with giants like Volkswagen, Kia, and Peugeot. FDI has surged beyond cars, with booming electronics, IT, and service sectors 📈. Today, Bratislava ranks among the EU’s highest GDP regions—an incredible leap from the 1990s. With vision and hustle, entrepreneurship and using foreign direct investment strategically in growth-oriented industries & knowledge transfer to create jobs and long-term growth.💼 Bratislava’s story offers valuable lessons for other EU regions, including those that have historically enjoyed wealth and media attention.

Internationalisation is a key focus for the future at #Janitza. But it’s not just about selling products globally or opening new offices. It’s about bringing together employees from different countries and continents to collaborate on the big challenges of the future. The energy this creates is evident in every international strategy meeting. Tackling issues like the energy transition, securing power supply, and the challenges and opportunities presented by new technologies like AI can only be achieved through teamwork. “Quality made in Germany remains a strong selling point,” so Michael D'Costa. However, success doesn’t always have to come from doing things "the German way." What matters is listening to one another and learning from each other—that’s how we harness the power of change. #Janitza #JanitzaInternational
