Christmas lights and real estate advice! 🎄🎁 Nothing like a beautiful Christmas light display to get you in the holiday spirit. And nothing can ruin it faster than an accident or injury. 😔 With proper preparation and these essential safety tips, you can avoid dangerous situations. 😉 🎄Replace missing or broken bulbs. 🎄Use a wood or fiberglass ladder when hanging lights. 🎄Ensure you use the right light type (ie indoor/ outdoor). 🎄Look for the UL seal to ensure your lights meet industry standards. 🎄Use the right cord (ie indoor/outdoor) & keep the cord DRY if outdoors by using a cord protector. 🎄Prevent tripping hazards by using light stakes to keep lights off ground. 🎄Plug lights into a GFCI outlet. It'll shut the circuit down if there is too much current flowing. 🎄Don't run cords thru doors & windows to prevent shocks. 🎄Never use staples, tacks or nails to hang lights. 🎄Turn off lights overnight. 🎄Don't decorate your kids or pets, they could get shocked or burned. Wishing you a safe and Happy Holiday! 🎅🏾 #aliciasrealestate #christmasdecor #safetytips #homefortheholidays #christmaslightinstallation
