It’s hard to blame them because, for those camps, it is risky as hell! But not for us. We have put the price of camp in the hands of those we serve because it is equitable and just. The only reason why camp has the audacity to try this year after year is because of donors like you. We believe that you believe in Stomping Ground. Last year, over 50% of our campers experienced the magic of camp through our trust-based sliding scale. Your commitment to Camp Stomping Ground is a commitment to kids. You believe in their power and potential. You trust that when given the chance, they will change the world. Your support makes all of the difference. Losing monthly donors? 😢 Monthly donors leave for various reasons, from a change in financial circumstances to feeling disconnected from your nonprofit. While you can’t control all the variables, you can take action to ensure each one of your dedicated monthly supporters feels connected to your mission. I’ve rounded up my go-to ways to communicate with monthly donors and keep them feeling valued all year. Which of these methods are you going to implement or are you already using?
So many business owners could get behind a project such as this. These developments going up everywhere in Truro, but I have not heard anything about affordable housing in the mix. There are so many of our families, friends and neighbours are homeless with not enough beds. Folks don't need a great big space...only big enough for a bed, small kitchen area and a bathroom with a sink, toilet and upright shower. This would get people out of the cold and off the street for the winter. Have the Town donate some land for a project, donations of materials to build from local businesses, volunteers to come together with their skills. tools and the willingness to help...you never know, you might be helping a friend who is hitting rock bottom. Think about this...it can be done if everyone brings whatever the can to help. Don't have another cold winter watching folks sleeping on benches or behind buildings...the people of Truro are better than that.
