Meet Shaun Conapitski, a Foreman here at Midwest Mole! His day-to-day involves auger boring and making sure every bore is completed to the best of our abilities, correctly and safely. Shaun started with us in June 2018 after receiving a phone call about a job opportunity. The next thing he knew, he was on a plane heading to Indy and had an interview with 5 people at once. He had to see what the "Mole" was all about. What he loves about working with us is that nothing is ever mundane. There are always new problems to overcome and find the best solution for. No matter what the problem is with the job, there are always people wanting to help find the solution. Everyone takes care of each other here. Shaun has worked on many jobs in his time here, so he has a hard time choosing a favorite, but he jokes that his favorite was the one with limited cell service. When he’s not at work, Shaun spends time with his wife, son, and two dogs. His advice to new employees: "If someone is willing to take the time and teach, be willing to listen. No one has all the answers, but if you put enough heads together, you’ll find a solution." #MoleMonday #Foreman #MudandtheBlood

🚧 **Attention Jacksonville Community!** 🚧 Hey everyone! 👋 Have you noticed the increasing amount of debris on our roads lately? From tire remnants to construction barricades, it's not just an eyesore – it's a safety hazard for all of us driving through Jacksonville, especially on highways and bridges. We believe it's time for action! Here's what needs to happen: 1. **Let's Get Organized:** We're calling on the city to form rapid response teams. These heroes could swoop in and clear the debris, keeping our roads safe and smooth. 2. **Your Voice Matters:** We need an easy way for everyone to report road debris. Imagine a simple app or website where you can quickly flag a problem. Let's make it happen! 3. **Spread the Word:** Knowledge is power! Through social media, flyers, or community meetings, educating our friends and neighbors about how to report road debris is key. 4. **Working Together:** Construction companies need to step up and clean up. It's all about accountability and keeping our streets clear. 5. **Regular Check-Ups:** How about more frequent road inspections? Let's catch those hazards before they catch us by surprise. **Who's Responsible?** - **Department of Transportation (DOT):** They're the big players for state roads and highways. - **City Public Works Department:** They handle our city streets and bridges. - **Law Enforcement:** Our local police can help by reporting and responding to debris. - **Us, the Community:** Yes, we can volunteer, spread awareness, and help keep our roads clean. Let's come together as a community to tackle this issue head-on. 🤝 Share your thoughts, tag your friends, and let's start a conversation that leads to real change on our roads. Safe driving starts with us! #Jacksonville #RoadSafety #CommunityAction #CleanRoadsJacksonville 🚗💨🍃 https://lnkd.in/egcqbAev

As part of #RoadSafetyWeek, we want to shine a light on the important roles people play in our organisation, specifically the incredible work of our Family Liaison Officers (FLOs), who provide vital support to families following fatal road collisions. Stepping up to the role of FLO isn't for everyone; it takes huge amounts of resilience and compassion, and it's never easy. In this video, PC Lou Richards, one of our dedicated FLOs, shares insight into her role – from guiding grieving families through legal processes to offering kindness and humanity on their darkest days. “If I can make their worst day in their whole life a little bit smoother, then that’s what I do.” Lou also reflects on the devastating consequences of road collisions and shares a heartfelt message for all road users: “It could be any of us that makes a mistake. Just take care. We don’t know what’s around the corner; things can go wrong catastrophically in the blink of an eye.” Watch the full video to learn more about the incredible work our FLOs do to support families, and why we’re urging everyone to prioritise safety behind the wheel.

Have we forgotten about the Paradise Campfire that killed 85 people?? Drones are a common feature of the California economy, they’re capable of alerting us to fire hazards over vast areas of land and yet, the state continues to burn. When will CalFire and other organizations deploying wildfire mitigation adopt technology capable of preventing these issues BEFORE they become a disaster??? #wildfire #parkfire #calfire #california #uas #drones #harbinger #saas #swarming #swarmdrones
Starting up our ALERTCalifornia feed in Harbinger today, I was shocked to see the Cohasset (Park) fire just north of Chico, CA and west of Paradise burning. over 150,000 acres and counting with ~3% containment. Thank you to all the responders out there risking life and limb to save others.
