As an Automation Engineer, I am responsible for the smooth operation of our machine software. This includes software updates, further developments, but also remote troubleshooting with customers and fitters. I connect remotely to the machine's PLC and HMI and analyze and rectify possible errors. 🌟 What is special about this job? The incredible variety. At the helpdesk, we look after all types of machines. Their life cycle is around 30 years, so we look after a large number on versions of a machine type. Another great thing about my job is the gratitude of the customers and fitters. 🏆 Why is this job so important for Uhlmann? I use my specialist knowledge to support the service technicians who need help with the software on site at the customer's premises. The service is Uhlmann's flagship.
