(Content warning: domestic violence) Can system mapping save lives? In a recent project led by Christian Anibarro, the team worked with the Los Angeles County Office of Violence Prevention to redesign and improve access to domestic violence restraining orders (DVROs). DVROs are proven to be effective, but access to them to can be riddled with barriers. The work the Office undertook with our team has the power to increase the number of people who are granted DVROs, and mostly importantly, may reduce fatalities.
