It was an delight to visit the National Stock Exchange (#NSE) and witness firsthand the incredible growth and innovation that has shaped India’s capital markets. Staring at the iconic bell of the NSE, I couldn't help but reflect on the journey that has transformed the country's financial landscape. A Moment of Pride It was truly inspiring to hear Mr. Ashish Chauhan, MD & CEO of NSE, about the market’s evolution. Starting with a market capitalization of ₹4 lakh crore, NSE today stands at ₹450 lakh crore, showcasing the tremendous progress and trust investors have placed in the system.  Building Trust in the Markets The market is fundamentally built on trust—a leap of faith by investors, businesses, and the broader society. Only 30 of India's 19,000 PIN codes don't have investors, the expansion and inclusivity of the market is a testament to its reach in every corner of the country!  Financial Inclusion at the Forefront India, a country with an annual per capita income of ~$3,000 only, NSE’s stride is stupendous as with innovations in platforms like Zerodha, with convenience, even small retailers can be part of economic growth.  Social Impact through Finance NSE's Social Stock Exchange is yet another powerful new initiative.  Some projects have already been listed, I am eagerly waiting to see how the capital market will create not only economic wealth but also positive societal change.
