Leadership Lessons from the Sales Floor Leadership isn’t about barking orders from the sidelines; it’s about rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in. When the chips are down, sometimes you’ve got to prove it can be done! I remember a tough patch where I jumped onto the sales floor to show the team how we could turn things around. It wasn’t about showing off—it was about showing up. And it worked! The team rallied, confidence grew, and we smashed it. As the saying goes, “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.” How have you led by example? Let’s hear it!

This may be a contentious point, but it's one I feel strongly about. Corrective actions based solely on results are not an effective way to motivate teams to stay with a company. In fact, this approach can be highly detrimental to team morale. Store managers are giving their all and cannot compel customers to make purchases, especially in the current economic climate. Their primary role is to lead to the best of their abilities. It's imperative that upper management in retail recognize this and improve their strategies. I am deeply concerned for my colleagues who are facing challenges in the retail sector. I said what I said. #retail #leadership #dobetter #morale #Stayvibey 🌸
