We couldn't agree more with CAWP's prescription for progress! 👏Recognizing and amplifying the impact women have in government and politics is essential. That's why The Matriots proudly ENDORSE, ENCOURAGE, AND ADVOCATE for women running for office in Ohio. 🐝 A few highlights from the research article: 🌟Participants advised against promoting women's political success based primarily on gender, but expressed the importance of aligning with shared values. 🌟Women political leaders emphasized creating safe spaces and networks for women in politics, addressing holistic needs. 🌟Leaders and advocates for women's political empowerment highlighted the benefits of coordinating efforts with like-minded groups, including increased capacity, efficiency, and resource utilization. Women are frequently on the front lines of social issues, from healthcare access to education equality. But are their voices always heard? How can we break down these barriers and empower women to be changemakers in their communities? Commonlands and CARE are addressing this issue by focusing on village savings and Loan Associations which are 80% women. By doing this and attaching access to much-needed financial resources, women are empowered and have a voice in decision-making, they were otherwise denied.
