The International Platform on Sustainable Finance presents the Multi-Jurisdiction Common Ground Taxonomy to enhance interoperability of taxonomies across EU, China and Singapore The International Platform on Sustainable Finance (IPSF) today presented the Multi-Jurisdiction Common Ground Taxonomy (M-CGT), a comparison of the sustainable finance taxonomies of China, the EU and Singapore. Developed by the People’s Bank of China (PBOC), the European Union Directorate-General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union (FISMA), and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), the M-CGT builds on the EU-China Common Ground Taxonomy (CGT)[1], a joint initiative under the IPSF by the European Commission and the PBOC in 2020 to enhance the interoperability of the EU and China’s taxonomies. With the publication of the M-CGT, the bilateral EU-China CGT will be expanded to include the Singapore-Asia Taxonomy (SAT), enhancing the interoperability of taxonomies across China, the EU and Singapore. #CGT #MAS #PBOC #SustainableFinance #tax #Singapore #China #EU

🚀 Developing Sustainable Finance Taxonomies in Emerging Markets In our Finance Concentration Capstone Project, we researched the EU taxonomy as a global benchmark and the regional differences that are integral to the development of sustainable finance taxonomies in emerging markets like Brazil, India, China, and Indonesia. 🔍 Key Finding: While a certain level of standardization can enhance international capital flows, each country must customize its taxonomy to its distinct environmental, social, and economic priorities.
