🌏✨ A Journey to Singapore and the National Day Parade Experience ✨🌏 This August, I had the incredible opportunity to witness Singapore’s National Day Parade (NDP) on August 9th, a celebration that truly left me in awe. After seeing the behind-the-scenes preparations and viral clips on TikTok, my curiosity was piqued. I’ve always been familiar with the Independence Day celebrations of my own country, Indonesia, and my neighbors, Malaysia. However, Singapore’s unique and meaningful parade took things to a whole new level for me. What impressed me the most was how Singapore’s NDP wasn’t just a parade—it was a vibrant showcase of the country’s attractions, culture, and future. Each chapter of the event felt purposeful, from promoting local music and food to celebrating Gen-Z’s creativity. And let’s not forget the grand finale: the fireworks 🌠✨ The choice to hold the event from the late afternoon to night (4 PM - 11 PM) was perfect. Unlike early morning parades in some countries, which can feel tiring, Singapore’s NDP kept the energy high, with the cool evening breeze and the mesmerizing fireworks making it a truly unforgettable experience. 🛫 Exciting news—I’ve already booked my flight for next year’s parade! I can’t wait to experience it again. What did I learn from my journey to Singapore? 🌍 Here are my takeaways: 1. Strategic Thinking: Despite being a small nation without vast natural resources, Singapore’s brilliant use of its human capital is inspiring. Its focus on innovation and tourism is smart and effective. 2. Public Transportation: The well-maintained and efficient public transport system blew me away. Walking and commuting in Singapore is enjoyable for all, including seniors. It's something that countries like mine, Indonesia, and even Malaysia can continue to work on. 3. Cleanliness and Order: I was struck by how clean and safe everything was. This is a testament to the discipline of the people and the governance structure that ensures rules are followed. 4. Health Awareness: I loved how the government educates its people on healthy eating, grading food from A to D. Seeing Singaporeans carry their own water tumblers was also refreshing, a practice not yet common in many villages back home. 5. Inclusivity: The fact that Singapore embraces diversity in leadership—having leaders of Indian and Chinese descent—is a great example of how open-mindedness and collaboration can drive success. My reflections don’t mean to criticize my country or others, but rather to share how this journey has broadened my perspective. Singapore has taught me that with unity, discipline, and an open heart, any nation can thrive, regardless of its size or natural resources. Let’s all learn from one another and grow together 🌍 #Singapore #NationalDayParade #NDP2024 #TravelLearnGrow #OpenMinded #GlobalCitizen #IndonesiaToSingapore #CulturalExchange #Inspiration #Leadership

Racial Discrimination and Nationalism Highlight Failures in Chinese Leadership Date: November 7, 2024 Location: Xinjizhou Hot Spring Hotel, Tengchong City, Yunnan Province Event Overview: An alarming incident at the Xinjizhou Hot Spring Hotel in Tengchong City exposed not only blatant racial discrimination but also the toxic environment fostered by the Chinese Communist Party of China (CCP) under its nationalist agenda. A Chinese-Japanese pair attempted to check into the hotel, only to be turned away with the discriminatory statement, “We Tengchong City doesn’t accept Japanese.” The situation escalated further when hotel staff, instead of addressing the issue professionally, pulled the fire alarm during the argument. A video of the incident went viral overnight, sparking heated discussion online. Disturbingly, many Chinese citizens sent flowers to the hotel as a show of support, reflecting the deep entrenchment of xenophobic and nationalist sentiments encouraged under CPC rule. Leadership Failures and Global Implications: This incident is emblematic of the CCP's failure to promote responsible governance and international cooperation. The party's aggressive nationalist rhetoric and propaganda have cultivated an environment where discrimination and hostility are normalized, undermining China’s global ambitions as a responsible world leader. Instead of fostering respect and collaboration, the CCP’s leadership has fueled divisions and exacerbated tensions with neighboring countries, particularly Japan. Such incidents tarnish China’s international image and highlight the hypocrisy of its calls for global solidarity while perpetuating exclusionary practices at home. Global Concerns: This event underscores the broader implications of the CCP’s policies, which often prioritize nationalist pride over inclusivity and global harmony. The party’s inability to address or condemn such discriminatory behavior raises serious questions about its capacity to lead responsibly on the world stage, especially given its ambitions to reshape global norms and institutions. China's leadership must take accountability for fostering a toxic climate that normalizes racial prejudice and extreme nationalism, damaging both its domestic social fabric and international reputation. Without genuine reform and a commitment to inclusivity, such incidents will continue to undermine China’s aspirations for global leadership. #racialdiscrimination #ccpglobalenemy1 #ccpvirus #templartitannews

Working within the Tourism industry is so much fun because it helps understand different cultures and traditions and offers us the creative freedom to present in our own way. #corporateevent #eventplanning #eventplanners
We love working with our clients from tourism. The vibrancy ,colour and the festivity involved with planning an event for a destination is different from the rest, and it is tremendous fun to plan and attend such Soirees! We not only had press and trade partners meeting up for lunch, the menu for lunch was curated by Enter Via Laundry owner and popular Masterchef Australia contestant Helly Raichura and provising their insights on the upcoming sports events were Ms.Sanjana Ghosh and the one and only Rohan Bopanna! #eventmanagement #corporateevents

Four Vietnamese and two American nationals have died in a luxury hotel suite in Bangkok, according to Thai police. They said traces of cyanide were found in all six tea cups. This would be a great crisis exercise scenario. Except this is not an excercise, it’s reality according to BBC News. I seriously doubt any hotel has ever envisioned such an event taking place. This is why it is so important to train the thinking, not the scenario and always be prepared for the unexpected and to be surprised. #crisismanagement #crisispreparation 18.07.2024

**Understanding Jeong: The Heart of Korean Hospitality for Travelers** If you’re planning a trip to Korea, there’s one cultural concept that will leave a lasting impact on your experience: *Jeong* (정). It’s a little tricky to translate directly, but *Jeong* represents a deep emotional connection, a sense of warmth, and the unspoken bonds between people. For travelers, *Jeong* often surfaces in unexpected acts of kindness—whether it's a shopkeeper offering a small gift with your purchase, a stranger going out of their way to help you with directions, or a restaurant owner giving you extra side dishes "just because." It’s these moments that make Korea’s hospitality stand out. Here are a few ways to embrace *Jeong* during your travels: - **Stay open to connection** – Whether you're chatting with locals or dining at a family-owned restaurant, you'll often feel a genuine sense of care. - **Appreciate the small gestures** – That extra rice cake you didn’t ask for? It’s not just food, it’s *Jeong* in action. - **Be reciprocal** – *Jeong* is a two-way street. A simple thank you, a smile, or even returning the favor in small ways goes a long way in this cultural exchange. In Korea, it’s not just about the sights you see—it's the human connections that make your trip unforgettable. So, as you explore the country, keep an eye out for *Jeong*—it’s what makes Korea truly special. #TravelKorea #CulturalInsight #KoreanHospitality #Jeong #ExperienceKorea #KoreanCulture
