The build up to the European tech conference season is on 🇪🇺 For a lot of startups and scaleups across APAC who have the European market mapped out for expansion, joining trade missions, or going independently, is their first foray into that market to dip their toes in. Get a feel for it you might say. But where do you start?! There's a Smörgåsbord of options, almost too much choice. And how do you tackle these to make sure you get the most from them? Whilst there's the big hitters such as Money20/20 🇳🇱, London Tech Week 🇬🇧, Viva Technology 🇫🇷 and, Web Summit 🇵🇹, there is also a raft of smaller, and potentially more beneficial conferences that are often intertwined during these. What do you need to do to stand out? 🚀 What do you ACTUALLY want to achieve from the trip? 🚀 Map out your target audience and start your reach out now. Don't wait 🚀 Find out what government support you can get, be it through official trade missions, or ad hoc. 🚀 Schedule introductory meetings & pitches well before you touch foot in Europe 🚀 The chances of having a fruitful first meetings during these types of conferences are slim. There are 1000's of people all trying the same thing during the week. You need to stand out. 🚀 Build your channel partner network and announce these new partners whilst at the conference (nice little selfie would help!). Use it as a megaphone 🚀 Say yes.
