Cybersecurity continues to be a hot investment sector, with capital investment reaching $24.5b in Q1 2021, almost back to pre-pandemic levels. The recent announcement of CyberArk to acquire Venafi for $1b in cash and $540m in stock is further evidence of the industry's growth. Other notable cybersecurity activity includes Rubrik's $5.6b IPO, Darktrace's $5b acquisition, and Wiz's $1b in new funding. It's clear that cybersecurity remains a priority for businesses looking to secure their data and systems. It's quite the turn around from 2023 and I expect we will see more market consolidation in crowded verticals. CISO/CSO should create out clauses in contracts for disruptions in their security stack that may be concerning. #cybersecurity #investment #product
