Reflections on the Strategic Impact Reflection Circle: A Journey Toward Systemic Change we had the opportunity to represent the GoSimple Program at the Strategic Impact Reflection Circle event, organized by One Planet Lab Schweiz. This event brought together a diverse group of changemakers to explore pressing topics like systemic change, sufficiency, and systems thinking – to foster collective learning and strengthen the relationships between various test projects working toward sustainable transformation. The event was structured around three impactful sessions, each focusing on a different aspect of the journey toward systems change: 1️⃣ Theory of Change: We kicked off with a powerful conversation about our shared understanding of systemic change. The session prompted us to think deeply about how our efforts contribute to creating a collective impact. It was an eye-opening experience to see how our GoSimple initiatives align with the broader goals of sustainable transformation. 2️⃣ Ecosystem Awareness: The second session was about identifying where and how we, as a community, can make the most significant contributions to systemic change in our ecosystems. We dove into discussions about key leverage points and the challenges we face in driving impactful change within our local contexts. For GoSimple, this was a valuable opportunity to pinpoint areas where we can enhance our work and deepen our impact. 3️⃣ Collaboration for Systems Change: Finally, we explored the power of collaboration. How can we join forces to amplify our collective impact? This session underscored that the most meaningful and lasting change happens when we work together, aligning our efforts toward a shared vision. This was a reminder of the incredible power that comes from collaboration across projects and organizations. Being part of this circle of innovators, each working on different pieces of the sustainability puzzle, was truly inspiring. The experience gave us new insights into the complexities of system change and reaffirmed the importance of community, collaboration, and learning from each other’s journeys. At GreenUp Switzerland we are committed to contributing to this larger movement toward a sustainable future. Thank you to One Planet Lab for organizing this insightful event, and to all the participants for their dedication to creating a better, more sustainable world. What are your thoughts on systemic change? How can we collaborate to create a greater collective impact? Let’s continue the conversation! #SystemsChange #Sustainability #Collaboration #GoSimple #OnePlanetLab #CollectiveImpact #TheoryOfChange #EcosystemAwareness #Sufficiency #SustainabilityLeadership Nicole Keller Eniko Halo Laurène Descamps Zora Zubler Leonard Creutzburg Zoller Franziska

🎉 Reflecting on a Year of Impact and Innovation 🎉 As 2024 comes to a close, the ThinkPlace UK team reflects on the challenges we’ve tackled, the partnerships we’ve forged, and the meaningful impact we’ve created together. 🌍✨ This year has been one of immense growth and collaboration, driven by our commitment to designing with—not for—the communities we serve. Our 2024 highlights include: 🌟 Co-creating inclusive solutions: Empowering over 100 SMEs across Africa and the Middle East through innovative, design-led approaches, advancing youth employment and social impact with initiatives like the Challenge Fund for Youth Employment (CFYE). 🌟 Strengthening partnerships: Building trust and alignment for long-term success, including supporting Cambridge Cleantech in brokering and strengthening connections among ClimateTech ecosystem actors in the UK and Europe’s 'SuperCluster' to advance collaborative innovation. 🌟 Driving insights into action: Partnering with Wellcome Trust to inform global infectious disease strategies by capturing grassroots insights, ensuring vulnerable communities are central to health solutions. 🌟 Expanding our reach: Connecting people and ideas globally to address critical challenges. Highlights include collaborating with the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change to explore low-orbit satellites for digital connectivity in disaster-affected areas. At the heart of all these achievements is the power of collaboration. None of this would have been possible without our incredible clients, partners, and the communities we’ve worked alongside. 🏞️ The Road Ahead: Shaping 2025 In 2025, we’ll build on these lessons, focusing on diversifying funding, deepening expertise in areas like climate engagement, and leveraging our strengths in systems thinking and social behaviour change. We’ll continue fostering partnerships with universities, private sector actors, and local organisations to amplify impact and align with global priorities, creating scalable, sustainable solutions for the challenges ahead. To everyone who has been part of our journey—thank you for your dedication, creativity, and vision. Here’s to an even greater impact in 2025! 💡🌟 #SocialImpact #DesignForImpact #ThinkPlace #InclusiveInnovation #YearInReview #2025Goals

📢 Exciting Update from PYM - Belgium Impact Day 2024! We were thrilled to join PYM - the Conscious Investors' Community at the Belgium Impact Day 2024 at Living Tomorrow in Vilvoorde. Our Goodwell Investments Investor Relations team, including Maartje Broeijer, Jeroen Harteveld, and Rakan Dajani, had an insightful day reflecting on our 20-year journey of impactful investing. 🌍 The event shed light on the challenges we face, for example how AI is threatening to displace 300 million jobs by 2030. At Goodwell Investments, we’re more committed than ever to creating jobs and driving inclusivity for a better, more equitable future. Rakan Dajani spoke during the event, highlighting three crucial pillars for future progress: 1. Impactful tech: Accessible, affordable, and adequate. 2. Effective tech in Africa: As an enabler and spread wide - means not an end in itself. 3. Urgency to tackle foundations: Tackling basic goods and services as foundations of societal needs unlocks inclusive growth. It was a rewarding day filled with great conversations, reconnecting with our valued investors, and meeting new inspiring people. We look forward to continuing our mission of creating a positive, lasting impact. 💼✨ #ImpactInvestment #Sustainability #InclusiveGrowth #TechForGood #GoodwellInvestments

Brilliant day at #PurposeFest2024 yesterday, listening to such great speakers talk about turning purpose into impact, how innovation can help deliver on purpose-led ambitions and embedding purpose in the value chain. Great panel on "Purpose in times of political change" chaired by ReGenerate Policy Director Esmé Clifford Astbury in conversation with Natalie Bennett, Green Party of England and Wales peer and former party leader, David Symons, UK Sustainability Director at WSP and Rishi Madlani, UK Head of Sustainability for Investec. Key insights below 👇 ➡ Leadership will need to come from businesses, not government alone. ➡ IMF points to growth slowing in the next decade, so there is a need to focus on social innovation to increase business productivity and retention rates. We have a real opportunity to renew focus on valuing people. ➡ We need to ensure that businesses who want to do good are operating in the same playing field as those who are further behind. ➡ A mission-led government will work best by addressing change across the whole of government, rather than adopt a department by department approach. ➡ Businesses need to partner with government by building on national priorities, rather than making new asks. Asks should connect to the government's key missions. ➡ Businesses should align pressing social and environmental issues with their core mission and purpose, rather than view them alongside core business activity. ➡ We need to restore people's individual sense of empowerment while encouraging collaborative work to deliver systems change. Huge thanks to Caroline Macfarland & The Crowd - give them a follow to keep up to date with future events!

Ask yourself, are you really working on the great challenges of today? With this question the team of zero360 GmbH and UN Global Compact Netzwerk Deutschland initiated the first meet-up of the SDG Innovation Accelerator Program in Berlin this morning. After an insightful day of brainstorming, learning and networking with sustainability-interested professionals from different industries the Proske team around Janina G., Katarzyna Matuszczak and myself, has deep-dived into the topic sustainable development in the event industry and chosen a major challenge that we’ll tackle over the course of the program: The responsible production of event materials. From planning over production, life cycle extension and end-of-life management of event materials there are many areas where we see an immense environmental impact. Every event includes different event materials, produced by different suppliers and designed for single-use, aligned with the theme of the event, which often eliminates the chances for an extended life cycle. An impactful solution that can be applied to all our in-person events is required. Will we find a solution for this key challenge of the event industry and lead the way to waste-free events? The vision might seem big and even impossible to achieve, but we are excited to give it a try because we know that even small changes can make a great impact! 🚀🌱🌱 #sustainability #SDGs #ProskeProud

Helmes Business Moments: Creating Impact through Environmentally Responsible Software Development In October, Helmes participated on Impact Day, the Baltics and Nordics' largest sustainability festival. Our experts, Heiki Naagel and Meelis Lang, contributed to important discussions on one of the most pressing issues in the digital world: sustainability in technology. Key Takeaways from Helmes' Sessions: 🔵 Choosing the Best Technology to Achieve Our Goals Heiki Naagel took the stage alongside Alistair Starling and Ivika Torpel for a discussion dedicated to exploring how to choose the right technology tools to meet sustainability goals. Heiki's insights focused on green software engineering, showing how sustainable digital solutions and green coding practices can reduce the environmental impact of digitalization. The session provided practical advice for organizations navigating the vast array of technological options available today. 🔵 Ready to Reduce: What's Our Next Step? Meelis Lang, a leading voice on sustainable software in the Baltics, delivered a keynote that highlighted the critical role technology plays in shaping a sustainable future. With the ICT sector projected to account for 14% of global greenhouse gas emissions by 2040 – almost as much as the emissions from air, land, and sea transport combined – Meelis emphasized the importance of reducing the carbon footprint of digitalization. His presentation provided concrete steps on how the tech industry can adopt environmentally responsible software development practices, creating positive outcomes for both sustainability and business growth. A big thank you to everyone who participated on Impact Day! If you couldn’t make it, we’re always open to continuing the conversation—feel free to get in touch. #ImpactDay2024 #Sustainability #GreenTech #Helmes #DigitalInnovation #CarbonReduction #GreenSoftware #BusinessSustainability

🌟 Inspiring Day at #swisscleantechdialog 2024 🌟 The event brought together 450 members from different industries and was an excellent occasion to see how sustainability is rapidly advancing, occupying a central role in Switzerland’s economic and political system. A big thank you to Fabian Etter and the team for organising a lineup of keynote speakers that delivered thought-provoking insights and offered valuable perspectives. 🚀 Key Takeaways: 🔗 Collaboration Fuels Innovation: Cross-industry partnerships are key to impactful pilot projects. A positive can-do attitude is essential when exploring new collaborative ventures. I selected here the collaboration between the #ZürcherKantonalbank and #neustark to scale negative emissions among other successful projects. 🗣️ Communication Drives Change: To tell a compelling story, we need to approach different audiences and evoke emotions. It begins with attentive listening and understanding others' perspectives. Thanks to Maren Urner for emphasizing the power of positive storytelling focused on solutions. It was great connecting, exchanging ideas, and learning from so many brilliant minds. #Swisscleantech #Sustainability #Innovation #Collaboration #CleanTech #PositiveChange
