The World Creativity & Innovation Week/Day, April 15-21, is right around the corner!   The World Creativity and Innovation Week (WCIW) was founded in 2001 by Marci Segal, MS World Creativity Emeritus in Canada. It began as a grassroots movement to encourage people to use their creativeness to make the world a better place and to improve their place in the world as well. Celebrations grew over time as a result of people from countries worldwide adopting the time to encourage, enhance and enable people to access using their creative abilities where they may have been denied the opportunity to approach challenges they had at work, in the community, at school, everywhere. In 2017, the United Nations recognized April 21st as World Creativity and Innovation Day (WCID) to raise awareness of the value of using of creativity and innovation in problem-solving and sustainable development. In a nutshell, both WCIW & WCID were created to allow people both time and occasion to generate new ideas, make new decisions, and take new actions and in doing so, achieve new results. In the words and experience of Marci Segal, MS World Creativity Emeritus, with whom I had the honor to chat during the last weeks, "each person's creativity is like everyone else's, like some others', and like no other's."
