⭐️Monday Evening Equine Education⭐️ Another super evening lunging /long reining. “The Art of Lunging” Like lunging, long-reining is a great way to exercise your horse if you're unable to ride for any reason or you're bringing your horse back into work. The main benefit of long-reining over lunging is that you can work your horse in a straight line, plus you can see how your horse moves from behind and from the ground. Long reining is also good for any type young /old horses too. Some people long rein to give there horse something different to think about, some people use it to work on improving the horses way of going. If horses are struggling with something under saddle, sometimes it can be really helpful to remove the rider and work on it from the ground, long reining is perfect for this. #equineeducation #equinelongreining #equinelunging #equinebalance

🐎😡Horses: Why Do So Many People React with Violence or Anger? 🤔Emotions can run high in the world of horsemanship, especially when our equine partners don't behave as we hope. 🌟Frustration is a common companion when things don't go according to plan. Yet, in these moments, it's crucial to recognize the human tendency to resort to anger or violence. When a horse doesn't respond as expected, it's easy to let frustration boil over, leading to actions we later regret. 🐴However, horses are incredibly perceptive creatures. They sense our emotions with remarkable accuracy. Reacting with aggression not only damages our relationship with them but can also cause lasting harm. ❗Horses don't understand anger in the same way humans do. Instead, they respond to it with fear, confusion, or even defiance. This often leads to a breakdown in communication and trust, making it even more challenging to achieve the desired outcome. 💗🐎Instead of reacting with anger, we should take the time to better understand our emotions and their impact on our horses, and find a better way. Patience, understanding, and empathy are essential when working with horses. ✅Horses thrive in environments where they feel safe and valued, not threatened or intimidated. ✅Let's choose compassion over aggression and prioritize the well-being of our equine partners. 🌎Together, we can create a harmonious partnership based on trust and understanding. 👉Learn more about our ten class series that explores this topic in more detail and offers solutions to navigate the emotional components of horse and rider partnerships: https://lnkd.in/gbW6_7uX 🐴❤️ #EquineEmotions #CompassionateHorsemanship #PatienceOverAnger
