A rare look into the projects I've been involved in over the past several years. Decarbonization is expensive and decisions are extremely sensitive to many factors. In this webinar, our team presents how we effortlessly explore thousands of alternatives, embrace uncertainty, sidestep analysis paralysis, and create timeless decarbonization roadmaps for our assets and our customers in the hard-to-abate sectors.

Have been pondering the £22 billion CCS/industrial cluster announcement last week. Undoubtedly industry needs help to decarbonise and a 'place based' focus is needed. But carbon capture and storage, if based on fossil gas, does nothing for UK energy security, actually making it worse, and it's unclear that this helps truly green hydrogen developments. It's a lot of money and it's not even clear how it is funded (potential for some on taxpayer and some on consumer bills via Hydrogen Production Business Model) and what is coming from the private sector. Overall the decision feels hugely political and not all that well thought through.

This is the risk: if even more levies are put on consuming energy to pay for things which don't really benefit bill payers, the social license under which the government is investing £22 billion into infrastructure the o&g industry has built without subsidy elsewhere will erode
