Meet SA-ers | WAN Võ - Vol 23 Hey folks! I’m WAN, currently holding the title of Assistant Manager at SHIFT ASIA. In the wild world of IT outsourcing at SHIFT ASIA, my daily gig mostly involves diving headfirst into projects that I manage to solve pesky technical requests from our clients. Picture this: I clock in, do the attendance cha-cha, and then take a break…like a caffeinated sloth. And then, I double-check all the tasks—just in case there is a last minute hidden-surprise. You know, the usual office shenanigans! Colleagues always fuel my energy and spark my creativity. They're such young, dynamic, and incredibly talented folks. Every two weeks, like clockwork, we gather for an internal mini show. We start with the boring-but-necessary- part like company updates, department announcements - the usual stuff – and then the main performance. Each team member gets a moment in the spotlight to spill the beans about what’s been tickling their fancy lately. From hobbies to life experiences, it’s like a surprise grab bag of intriguing content. And let me tell you, those sessions are my jam - I absolutely love them! But wait, there’s more! Outside of the daily grind, I secretly moonlight as a proud member of our company’s soccer club, where I trade emails for goals! Since we’re still rocking the hybrid work-from-home setup, our club hasn’t had many chances to meet up and kick the ball. However, every weekend, we transform. We hit the field, sprint, play soccer, and unleash primal yells. It’s like stress relief meets team bonding. Plus, it’s a chance to get up close and personal with colleagues from various departments, all working on different projects. Fingers crossed that the SHIFT ASIA soccer club welcomes even more fresh faces for upcoming tournaments! -- #MeetSAers #SHIFTASIA #PeopleofSHIFTASIA

Coffee break alert! ☕ Or even - online coffee break! ☕💻 In today's global workplace, online coffee breaks are more than just a perk—they're essential for building strong #international teams. Do you have such breaks with your team? For me such breaks, although not very often, are a way of #travelling without travelling. I can not only get to know my colleagues better, but also learn interesting facts about the world. 2in1 🙃 Do you have the same experience?

Another day, another train 🚆 Off to our Colchester office today for the second of our Lui-Gi roadshows. Super excited to see Lui-Gi in full swing now! 🤖 Fridays are typically my non-working day, but I’ve always promoted the give and take approach. And today’s journey is a real example of how adaptability is part of my everyday life and the importance of flexibility both directions —balancing travel, meetings, and deadlines with home life, friendships, health and rest. Flexibility isn’t just something I need; it’s something my firm offers in return. By working with a firm that values flexibility on both sides, I can give my best professionally while managing everything life throws my way. It's a partnership that benefits everyone, allowing us to stay productive, no matter where the day takes us. How does flexibility play a role in your work? #Adaptability #Flexibility #WorkLifeFlow #Collaboration #MutualSupport #LarkingGowen

🌍 Stayforlong Global Meeting 2024. A day to inspire, connect and dream big 🌟 Last week, Stayforlong stopped the clock. We gathered the whole team in Barcelona, our city and our starting point, to celebrate the Global Meeting. It was more than a meeting: it was a dose of energy and creativity to face 2025 as we know, as a team and eager to eat the world. 🚀 The morning was one of analysis and reflection: we looked at the past to understand how to build an even stronger future. Projects, learnings and challenges on the horizon. But we didn't stop there: in the afternoon, we rolled up our sleeves with a group activity focused on improving internal communication, that secret sauce that turns great ideas into reality. 🧠 ✨ The closing? Like everything at Stayforlong, it had the perfect balance between professionalism and fun: we wrapped up the day with cocktails and laughter, because here we know that great moments are also created together, inside and outside of work. 🍸 🎶 We’re heading into 2025 full of energy and with one certainty: this year will be packed with projects, challenges, and moments to grow together. 💪 #Stayforlong #WorkHardPlayHard #BarcelonaTechLife #TeamGoals #GlobalMeeting

Who says a global team can’t have fun? 🌍 Distance may separate us physically, but when it comes to staying connected, this team knows no boundaries! Today, we threw a virtual baby shower for one of our dearest Shell IR APAC teammates, who’s about to level up to the ultimate role: Mummy Extraordinaire woohoo! From hilarious baby trivia to heartfelt advice, we had it all. The only thing missing was victoria sandwich cake and maybe some actual baby crying practice LOL 😜 Moments like these remind us that even when we’re far apart, we can still share joy, laughter, and the occasional awkward Teams freeze. Congrats to our future super-mom! Are you experiencing the same as me? Keeping the spark alive with teammates across the world? Here’s how we do it: 🎉 Celebrate Everything Milestones, wins, and even random Wednesdays—every excuse to gather virtually is worth it. Remember, cake calories don’t count when eaten on camera! 🕰️ Schedule “Human” Time Not every call has to be about work. Coffee chats, trivia nights, or What’s your current Netflix show can make interactions personal and fun. 😆 Share the Laughs A good meme, an office joke, or even who accidentally muted themselves again is worth sharing. Did you hear the one about the virtual meeting? It’s a joke you’ve heard 10 times because no one was listening the first time! ❤️ Show You Care 🤝 A quick shoutout, a birthday message, or checking in on someone’s big day can mean the world, even when you’re miles apart. 💻 Learn Something New Swap cultural traditions, share holiday recipes, or teach each other phrases in your native languages. Let’s keep proving that distance isn’t a barrier—it’s just another reason to get creative and have even more fun together! Now, who’s ready for round two of virtual party games? 😉 #GlobalTeamFun #VirtualCelebration #ConnectedAcrossBorders #FutureSuperMom #DistanceNoBarrier #WorkFamilyGoals #CelebratingTogether

🇨🇳 Embracing the Flow and Leveraging Time Zones – Another Week at STARTEAM GLOBAL in China! Here’s my weekly insights wrap - up: 𝐃𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲: Being able to work on the STARTEAM GLOBAL project without context switching has been a game cahnger. Focusing on project at a time not only boosts my productivity but also means I have space for creativity and new approaches. I know that this is only possible due to the support from my team back home, who manage some of my accounts and cover my workload on other projects. Thank you - that's what PAILOT GmbH is about! 𝐔𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐙𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞: While I am here, we effectively extend our workday to 18 hours. I post updates by noon here, allowing the team in Germany to be informed as their day begins. Whe then have have our daily meeting to discuss the most important things that we need to work on and then before the workday in Germany is over, I get an update on what happened while I was offline, so I know where to pick up in the morning. It’s really cool to start each morning here with a newsletter of insights and progress from back home. 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞: Here, working Saturdays is the norm, but it is not expected from a foreigner. However, for me it is clear that "You work - I work". This way, I can make the most of my time here and I think it also earned me some brownie points from the locals ;) And the Sunday is even more valuable which we used to go rafting in the Sichuan mountains with the IT department which was a fun experience. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞: Life here isn’t as glamorous as it might appear online. My daily life is a routine of office work, cafeteria lunches, evening work sessions in my hotel, and trying to overcome jet lag that has me up at 2 am listening to the bustling city sounds. As basic as it sounds the people here make every day special and interesting. And also, I have to say that I just really love my work. I am also happy that Heinrich Arnold, Rico Knapper and David Pérez González arrived here yesterday. I am looking forward to hearing your impressions and of course your support on the project.

I’ve officially wrapped up week 5 at Sensor Tower! If you know me, you know I’m always straightforward and I don’t hide my feelings—good, bad, or otherwise. So, I’m sharing this because I genuinely love working here! Here are just a few reasons why Sensor Tower is amazing: - After knowing Lindsay Amodio for a full decade, I can confidently say she’s still the GOAT! - The team is super supportive and collaborative. The overall vibe is very welcoming and always willing to help. - You really feel valued and appreciated for your work. - Work-life balance is truly valued, and flexible hours make it easy to seamlessly manage both personal and professional life. - It's fully remote and it eliminates the daily commute. -You don’t have to log every appointment or track every time you need to leave early. You're trusted to manage your time without constant check-ins. There’s a real sense of trust and autonomy. - Open communication—everyone’s input matters and no one is made to feel insignificant. - The leadership team is very approachable and involved. - The PTO is genuinely unlimited—just get approval from your manager and ensure coverage, no jumping through hoops or chasing endless approvals. - The tasks/sales are exciting and challenging in the best way. You’re not doing the same thing day in and day out. - The benefits and salary are GREAT! They show they truly care about their employees. *Base salary (pic below) PLUS Variable!!!! Great teams don't just happen - they're built 🏗️ Earlier this year, our entire team came together in Malta for what we called Synergy Surge week⚡ Far more than your average retreat, Synergy Surge week was a unique experience designed to strengthen our bonds, spark innovative thinking, and demonstrate the true power of teamwork 💪 The highlight of the week was a business idea challenge in which we split into four teams, each tasked with developing a business idea and execution plan 📊 We were truly blown away by the genuine enthusiasm and energy demonstrated by the teams, who literally gave their utmost to come up with the best ideas and strategies 🙌 Despite some really great ideas, arguably one of the best motivators was that there could only be one winning team, who were rewarded with limited edition Scope #SynergySurge t-shirts 👕 However, the biggest satisfaction we found was not in the innovative ideas or the corporate swag that we shared, but in the strengthened spirit of unity and teamwork that we carried back into our everyday work lives 💙 P.S Shout out to Ayman Kaouri ☁️ and Arber Berisha, who although could not be with us for this photo, were invaluable assets to the winning team 🙏 #teams #teambuilding #teamworkmakesthedreamwork #workculture #lifeatscope #levelupwithscope #conquerthecloud

Proud to be part of the 4 Day Week Global community! Thrilled to join the 4 Day Week Global community! This international movement advocates for a shorter workweek, while maintaining both pay and productivity. I firmly believe that the 4-day workweek can revolutionize the way we work. It can help us achieve a better work-life balance, leading to healthier and happier lives. It's no secret that skepticism surrounds the 4-day workweek. Some fear it's impractical or will lead to a decline in productivity. However, growing evidence suggests the opposite: the 4-day workweek can actually increase productivity. Successful implementations in several countries prove it can be beneficial. I'm confident the 4-day workweek is the future of work. It's a more sustainable, equitable, and productive approach.
