Generative #AI is ONLY Stage 4 A Very Adventurous Future for Humanity! As AI will be major part of our lives the years and decades to come, it is good to know what are the stages of its development. We are only in stage 4, Reasoning AI using #Generative AI based on the transformer technology e.g. GPT4. This stage started only a few years ago with the development of the transformer technology. Before this stage we started with 1. Basic rules based AI without adapting to new situations that many household products use for many decades now. 2. Contextual AI with products like Siri or Alexa almost 14 years ago 3. Narrow domain AI e.g. Medical or Financial systems based on deep learning #neural #networks and supervised learning 10 years ago. The qualities that once made humans proud, such as logical thinking and common sense, are now being demonstrated by AI in a more advanced way. While this may be a temporary shock for us, in the long run, it will open the door for humanity to focus on solving even larger problems, leaving AI to handle the rest.
