Is Bezos finally waving the white flag? Amazon is easing up on fees. But is it enough? Here’s the 2025 update sellers need to know: - Fee waivers for up to 100 units per new parent ASIN - Lower placement fees for bulky items, saving $0.58/unit - Bigger incentives for new sellers and high-demand products No new fees. No referral increases. Just a little relief for sellers. But let’s be real. After years of price hikes, is this a break or just breadcrumbs? What do you think? Amazon's $140B in fees and we're still struggling with seller support. As the Founder & CEO of Gigabrain, managing over 20 active Amazon brands, I see firsthand the challenges sellers face. Amazon's profits are soaring. Shareholders are happy. But sellers? Not so much. Here’s what we need from Amazon: - Improved Seller Support: The current system is frustrating. Getting answers shouldn't feel like rolling an 8-ball. - Fee Reductions or Discounts: With $140B in fees collected, it's time to lighten the load. Programs offering fee discounts for fewer returns or bulk services would be a start. These changes won't just help sellers. They’ll benefit consumers too, who ultimately bear the brunt of fee increases. Hoping Andy Jassy and the Amazon team hear us out. Let's make Amazon better for everyone. #Amazon #Ecommerce #BusinessGrowth

Quick idea for Amazon, Fire your entire seller support team and reallocate those resources to improving seller central's performance, accuracy, and dependability. Sellers deserve a quality experience when interacting with Amazon. I remember reading somewhere that Jeff Bezos would always have an empty chair at all board meetings to represent the customer. Everything Amazon does is centered on improving the customer experience. Sometimes it fells like the empty chair that represents the sellers is tucked away somewhere in a dusty corner covered in cobwebs. My point is sellers are customers too. For starters - Global ad revenue $47 Billion and climbing. - Almost 50% of all sales on the platform in fees and commissions. Its about time they start improving ALL customers experiences.

How Amazon uses scarcity and urgency: 1) Low stock alerts, e.g., "Only 3 left" 2) Tags products as “Limited-time deal” 3) Shows “X bought in the last hour” 4) Offers exclusive discounts for Prime members 5) Uses flash sales like “Lightning Deals” to create urgency

📣 Attention! Amazon is changing how they charge return fees. Starting in June 2024, there will be a new way Amazon calculates fees for products with high return rates (excluding clothes and shoes). The main changes: 1- Fees will now be charged every 3 months, instead of right away ● Example: Returns from June, July, and August will have fees in September 2- The Returns Dashboard will be improved ● You can clearly see your return rates ● You'll know the return rate threshold for getting charged fees ● You'll see how many returns are over that threshold 3- Some products are exempt from fees ● If less than 25 units ship in a month, no fee ● New products get a waiver for the first 20 returns over the threshold The 3-month delay gives you time to fix issues before fees. And the dashboard helps you understand why fees are charged. However, the exact return rate thresholds are still unknown. And the new way seems more complicated. Is this good news for sellers? Amazon says it provides more visibility. But will it actually reduce those pesky return fees? What do you think about the changes? Will they help your business or just create more confusion? Let me know your thoughts in the comments! #amazonfees #returnpolicy #ecommercebusiness
