This application note provides guidance for making measurements relating to field-oriented control of electric #motors and presents an example use case that illustrates how to accomplish these with the /MT1 option on a Yokogawa Test Measurement #DL950 ScopeCorder. Specifically addressed are direct and #quadrature currents of a surface-mounted permanent #magnet motor with field weakening applied. The MEMSCAP® TP1200 series digital-output pressure transducer is a fully calibrated, high precision device. The TP1200 contains a MEMSCAP® SP82 sensor, Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) and Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM) with compensation data. Temperature and non-linearity effects need to be externally compensated for by using data stored in the EEPROM. More than 400 sets of measurements, covering a wide range of temperature and pressure combinations are used as the input to the compensation data. This ‘board to board’ solution creates an opportunity to use a pre-calibrated sensor that easily can be integrated into a final product. The capability of changing transducers without the need for recalibration, makes the TP1200 an ideal choice in maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) situations. Now with our new sensor the results we get are even more spectacular, now we have made a sensor that's is better than the controllers used to test them.
