We are celebrating our 4th anniversary! 🎉 It's safe to say that we have acquired some wisdom along the way, and now we’re ready to share it with the world: 1) Before choosing your company name, remember to check if it's not already registered trademark in Europe, especially within your field. If you keep this in mind, it can help you save some time and legal hassle down the road. 2) From time and time again, we have witnessed that the core principles of business remain the same, regardless of the company's size. Whether it's a company of two or two thousand people - all follow the same rules. 3) Experience enhances analyzation speed. Meaning - the longer you have been in the industry, the quicker you can get the gist of conversations with clients to assess what's needed and deliver it in top quality. 4) Getting an e-signature (in Latvia, we call it e-paraksts) was the best business decision one can make. It enables you to sign legal paperwork anywhere, anytime, and with just a few clicks.

Today is Jule Day's 🥳fourth anniversary🥳 at the Economic Alliance, and we're FOURtunate to have her! In honor of her big day, we asked her some intriguing questions: -Why did you want to work for/be a part of the Economic Alliance? To be a part of change that tangibly affects the people and community I care about. Projects I work on and lead with my team can be enjoyed by my family and friends, bring joy to the community, and have a positive impact that I, too, feel fulfilled from. Being part of a small team means you wear a lot of hats, so you certainly feel like you are an extreme value add to everything that we do because, without each of us, many things would NOT happen! We are busy, but man, do we also feel important. -What has been the most rewarding part of being a part of this team? The degree of talent, experience, and diversity in backgrounds on this team is second to none. Many incredible people have been a part of this organization, and I'm honored to be a part of that roster. You feel like you are a part of something special on this team, and even as we grow, our new talent brings GREAT energy! -How are you planning on celebrating your anniversary? What excites you about the upcoming year? Our team is growing. There are LOTS of new ideas in the pipeline. There won't really be an opportunity to stop and party, but we will celebrate year-round by doing awesome things for our communities. -What is your favorite Economic Alliance brand color and why? Green. Green means growth, balance, and thoughtfulness. It also happens to work perfectly with strawberry blonde locks 😋

Today, I’m celebrating my 4-year business anniversary from a cozy coffee shop in Costa Rica, laptop open and heart full. When I started this journey, I had no idea how much self-employment would teach me—not just about business, but about myself. Over the years, I’ve learned: ✨ The power of delegation – You can’t do it all (nor should you!). Building a team has not only grown my business, but it’s given me space to focus on what I love most. ✨ The importance of self-growth – Running a business is as much an inner journey as an outer one. Community, coaching, and intentional work on myself have been game-changers. ✨ Balance is possible – By redefining success on my terms, I’ve built a life that feels fulfilling, balanced, and free. It’s not always easy, and there’s plenty of hustle and hard work behind the scenes. But moments like this—working from a place I love, feeling aligned with my purpose—remind me that it’s all worth it. To anyone dreaming of their own path: Start small, stay consistent, and don’t forget to celebrate along the way. 🎉 Here’s to 4 years of growth, learning, and balance—and to what’s next!

Whenever I hear about anniversary celebrations, I always ask the couple, "What’s your secret?" Because let’s be real—there’s so much value in learning from couples who are still celebrating, year after year. And you know what I hear most? It’s all about *showing up* for each other. That means really listening, learning, trying to understand, and being your partner’s biggest support. At the end of the day, everyone just wants to feel seen and like they’re a priority. So if you’re wondering what the secret to a happy relationship is, here it is: get back to the basics.

We’ve got another work anniversary to celebrate this month! Kyle Geib has been with BFO for three years now, and we can’t imagine our team without his infectious energy and encouragement. Here’s what you need to know about Kyle: Q: What is one trend in digital marketing that you’ll be keeping your eye on this year? A: Watching how search is evolving. AI overviews, more and more zero-click searches, and how content and brand presence will have to navigate it is going to be critical for every brand this year. Q: What is your biggest professional or personal highlight of the last 6 months? A: For me, it was the places we've taken BFO to share our expertise. We attended and spoke at a lot of events last year, and being able to get our team's intelligence in front of so many people is absolutely a highlight for me. Q: Who is your dream client and why? A: I want to help more Chicago-based brands grow their presence. I love this city and more people need to know about all the incredible brands that call Chicago home. That... or Fender Musical Instruments Corporation because [see photo] 😂 Q: Describe yourself in two emojis A: 🎸🪴 (it's a houseplant, don't make it weird.) Visit the link below for more on Kyle! https://lnkd.in/gJuk4PEJ

Grateful to have recently celebrated a wedding anniversary. Every year, we hike a mile up a trail to a charming yurt with an outdoor deck that overlooks a breathtaking mountain landscape. This tradition has become a time for us to pause, reflect, and appreciate the journey we’ve taken together. Anniversaries are more than just milestones—they’re opportunities to assess our growth, challenges, and successes. Whether in relationships, careers, or other significant aspects of life, reflection offers a chance to gain perspective and set intentions for the future. As I reflect on my recent wedding anniversary, I’m also reminded that it’s just a couple of weeks past the anniversary of taking the bar exam—a perfect time to consider whether you’re on track and moving in the right direction. For associate attorneys, finding time to reflect can be tough amidst billable hour requirements, challenging work, and personal obligations. However, making time for reflection is essential. Here are some questions to consider: - Am I working on the types of projects I want? - Have I found a mentor who supports my growth and development? - Am I being compensated fairly? - Is my work-life balance where I want it to be? - Is the firm I’m at the right place for me long-term, and will it set me up for success in achieving my goals, whether making partner or transitioning in-house? If any of your answers are “no,” it’s natural to consider a lateral move. I’m happy to discuss your reflections and be a resource in any way I can. Feel free to reach out via text at 720-303-1622 or email at akappel@voylegal.com. Here’s to celebrating love, commitment, and the lessons learned along the way. May we all take a moment today to reflect on the important milestones in our lives—both big and small—and appreciate the progress we’ve made. #Anniversary #Reflection #CareerGrowth #AttorneyLife #Milestones

As we celebrate the 5th birthday 🎂 of EdCo LATAM Consulting, I had a think about five important learnings from the journey so far. 1. Understanding and addressing partner needs is important. Whilst we work with partners in the same industry, each have different aims and objectives so we need to tailor our services and listen carefully to what success looks like for our partners. 2. Building a team is challenging but very rewarding. At EdCo LATAM Consulting we have a great team and it is important to have the right team members working with each of our partners. Carefully matching skills set, experience and styles of working. This is vital and an area we are working hard on. 3. Perseverance and resilience are key skills needed to build a business. This reminds me of a quote from Muhammad Ali which I think of regularly “The fight is won away from witnesses – behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights”. We get rejections / unanswered proposals - we keep going 4. Successful relationships are developed through listening, understanding and taking action on feedback. Face to face meetings are the best way of really understanding partner needs. 5. Innovation and reporting on market trends is becoming increasingly important to our business. In five short years, technological advancement and AI have had a big (mostly positive) impact on our industry. A big thanks to everyone I have had the opportunity to meet and work with over the last 5 years – Here’s to the next five and I feel like we are just getting started 😊

I appreciate so many of my clients, contacts and friends congratulating me on my 15th year work anniversary with Taxing Authority Consulting Services, P.C.. I am very thankful for my clients. It has been my honor to work with so many localities and individuals over the years. Our firm has come a long way from 15 years ago with 7 employees with a co-located office space to 135 employees working from 3 offices in the Commonwealth. I believe a large measure of our success is not ‘always doing it right’ (admittedly we make mistakes), but in always being open to a better way of approaching matters. This method allows inherent flexibility in processes – to both take ownership of mistakes and successes and to use both in fostering a better practice for all clients. So many of our fundamental processes have been built on client needs and feedback, as well as judicial requirements and feedback. I am deeply appreciative of our dedicated staff who I openly give credit for the good work that TACS does for our clients and for helping make me a better lawyer. Also, a big thanks to my fellow TACS attorneys. We have a great work atmosphere and comradery that makes our day-to-day work enjoyable. Being able to bounce thoughts and ideas off other attorneys (and having them check your work) really aids in good work-product output for our pleadings and practice. I can’t wait to see what the next 15 years have in store…Maybe I will start by updating my photo, which is more than 15 years old.

It's our 5th wedding anniversary today! 🥳 From the first day Mihir Gireeshan and I met, it was clear that we shared something extraordinary. We've laughed together, cried together, picked each other up during our worst, and run a business together. Navigating our business as two strong-willed Aquarians has been a humbling learning experience. Here's what we learnt: 1. Open communication is key. We don't always see eye-to-eye, but that's actually a good thing! Our different viewpoints spark creative solutions that we might have missed otherwise. 2. We have different strengths. We recognized this early on and assign tasks accordingly. By doing so, we delegate and create a work environment where we both thrive and do what we love. 3. Disagreements? Sure, we have them (every couple does!). But at the end of the day, we both want the same thing: for our business to succeed. This shared vision helps us overcome obstacles and work collaboratively towards our goals. Happy anniversary, love—here's to many more years of making our dreams come true together! 🌟💕

🎉 Celebrating 10 Years with some great people 🎉 This month, I’m incredibly proud to celebrate my 10th anniversary with Penna! As I reflect on this milestone, it’s impossible not to think about everything that’s contributed to this journey – the people, the challenges, and the moments of fun and celebration (including, hopefully, a lovely lunch to mark this special occasion 🥂✨). Ten years is a significant chapter in any career, and it has given me the opportunity to truly understand what keeps employees engaged and inspired to stay. For me, it’s been about: ✅ Reward and recognition moments – Feeling valued and acknowledged goes a long way, whether it’s a kind word from a colleague, achieving shared goals, celebrating milestones like this one, or having a laugh along the way. ✅ Development and stretch – I’ve been challenged, encouraged, and supported to grow and develop (even at my age!), taking on opportunities that stretched me and built my confidence. ✅ Support when it mattered most – Working through the pandemic was tough, but it showed me how much resilience and tenacity we all have. Having an organisation that stood by us during those times and quickly adjusted to the challenge made all the difference. ✅ The relationships – Over the years, colleagues, candidates and clients have become more than just professional connections; they’ve become friends, mentors, and key parts of my career and life. I’ve learned a lot over the past decade: the importance of tenacity when things don’t go as planned, the value of building strong and authentic relationships, and the significance of being part of an organisation that invests in its people. As I look back on this journey, I feel immense gratitude for the experiences, the learning, and the support that have shaped the professional (and person!) I am today. Here’s to the next chapter and all the opportunities ahead. 🌟 To those starting their journey, I’d say this: find an organisation that gives as much as it asks, surround yourself with people who lift you, and never stop pushing yourself to grow. You’ll be amazed at what you can achieve! Thank you to everyone who’s been part of my time at Penna so far – here’s to more rewarding years ahead! 💼✨
