What does it mean to live on the edge? To me, it's the feeling that it will all crumble in pieces. That's pretty much how most startup founders feel on an everyday basis. Because they don't have customers, MRR, runaway or because they spend so much time working while others have fun. What's the N1 quality of someone who lives on the edge? They don't give up. *Never. Because giving up is losing. Just like with investing, if you sell, you remove any future possibility of benefits from the growth of that stock. "I got over 100 NO once I went out to the first raising round".❌❌❌ You can #Google "how to start a startup" or "how to raise money" and get millions of resources available online offering you insights and action items. But... there is a huge gap between black-and-white letters and the challenges you face on the entrepreneurial path. 👉 What should you do when your product doesn't sell as you expected? 👉Maybe a sudden regulation started that you didn't expect would limit you? 👉God forbid, your country has been engulfed in war? What would you do? Is there a guide available to check your actions and characters' in real-life struggles? #NO. As an entrepreneur, struggling is part of your life and there is no way around it 😊 Sorry. I can tell you from my experience that while technical methods are important, it's your team and your character that will help you get through. Excellent article. Although by no means a silver bullet, we need to do more as a country to provide young people with #appliedlearning entrepreneurship opportunities in similar ways to how #workexperience is provided. Entrepreneurship needs more profile as a viable career, with opportunities provided for young people to give it a go safely and families given a chance to see young people build confidence and skills through opportunities like Young Enterprise UK and others provide. If we’re serious about promoting entrepreneurship in this country we have to start earlier in raising awareness of what’s possible (including making available no credit, under 18 business bank accounts so young people don’t have to trade using personal accounts) and access to #financialeducation could make a big contribution to helping young people be more prepared to consider starting a business.

What sets successful startup fundraises apart? Just one thing: Belief 🙏 The founders don’t have more belief… But they find a way to help investors share it. All pitches start the same. There’s a conviction chasm between you & them. It’s a wide, deep canyon. Your job is to help them cross it.🏔️ How? Build a belief bridge. A good bridge has 3 parts: 1️⃣ Market Target markets are the anchor point. It has to be big, growing, and suffer from intense pain. If your anchor isn’t strong, the other pieces don’t matter. 2️⃣ Solution Your solution is like rope — tied between the anchors on each side. Your product must clearly fix your customers’ pain & get them where they want to go better than other solutions. 3️⃣ Team Your team is the wood slats that keeps everything stable to walk across. Without them, the bridge will be too scary to traverse. They should be capable, credible and driven. These points must be as clear as possible. When building your pitch, remember one thing: 👉 Data > Opinion If you focus on the data that supports your belief, investors will trust your bridge. Anything less?
