The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) mandates businesses improve transparency and accountability to foster sustainable change in the EU. A crucial component is the Double Materiality Assessment, which requires companies to identify relevant sustainability issues based on their impact on environmental and social factors and how these factors affect the organisation. This assessment integrates both impact and financial materiality.
