I am excited to announce that Contacts Count is now ready to launch a Cohort Coaching Program that will improve your networking skills. This program has been piloted and tested with great results. This 8-week program will launch on September 11th. Two separate Cohort Coaching Programs will begin on that date. This will help make it easier for folks in different time zones to select the times that work best for them. The first program will run from 11am to 12:15pm EST. The second program will run from 6pm to 7:30pm EST. The cohort coaching program is limited to 8 participants to ensure each person gets the individual attention and feedback they need to be able to use skills and behaviors that will help make Networking an Art not an Accident. For both sessions we will be offering a 50% discount for all participants (a $1250 savings). Here is what one participant in the pilot program had to say: "Initially, I had doubts about whether the Cohort Coaching program with Vern would make a significant impact on my networking skills. However, from our very first session, Vern's deep understanding of networking dynamics and his ability to tailor strategies to my needs became apparent. Through Vern's coaching, I've experienced a profound mindset shift that has positively impacted my approach to networking. I've learned to be more proactive and strategic in initiating conversations and nurturing professional relationships. This shift in mindset has given me the confidence to step into networking events with a clear purpose and has significantly improved my ability to connect with potential clients. What sets Vern apart is his personalized approach and genuine commitment to his clients' growth. He doesn't just provide generic networking tips; instead, he helped me develop a tailored strategy that fits my personality and business goals. His insights into effective communication and networking etiquette have been invaluable in refining my client outreach and relationship-building efforts. Working with Vern has been transformative for my networking confidence, and I can already see the positive ripple effect it will have on my career. If you're looking to enhance your networking skills and grow your client base through genuine connections, I highly recommend Vern's Cohort Coaching Program." I want to share something that too many overlook on LinkedIn: The power of authentic networking. LinkedIn is more than a marketplace for business; it’s a platform for building trust, sharing value, and connecting with people who can inspire, challenge, and support you. Here’s the Caveat: Success doesn’t come from guarantees or quick-fix promises. It comes from relationships, conversations, and the exchange of real insights. That’s what makes this platform so powerful. When we approach LinkedIn with honesty and integrity—showing who we are instead of pretending to be someone we’re not—we attract opportunities that align with our values. When we focus on serving others rather than pushing a sale, we unlock doors we didn’t even know existed. So, ask yourself: Are you using LinkedIn to truly connect? Are you adding value through your posts, comments, and messages? Or are you trying to sell a guarantee that you can’t deliver? People can spot insincerity a mile away. But when you show up authentically, you stand out in the best way possible. Lead with value, with transparency, and with a willingness to serve. It’s not just good business—it’s good leadership. What’s one way you’ve built trust or added value on LinkedIn this week? L Let’s keep the conversation going! Follow us on LinkedIn at https://lnkd.in/g_TxvSd

Coaching sellers AT Fortune 500 Companies and coaching sellers INTO Fortune 500 Companies are very different things. I've had the privilege to coach folks in multiple verticals and businesses. First, being a good coach is all about becoming razor focused on the goals of the individual being coached. Some folks want to level up in their current role, say from SMB to Commercial / Enterprise. Some folks want to move to other companies, either for comp or for a change in scenery. The key that I have found is to have the person articulate their overall goals (short-term or long-term). We then create micro-goals that are measurable to get us where we're going. This allows us to have a focused approach that we can then point to certain areas over time that need the most attention. A person GROWING at a Fortune 500 may need help in learning the basics of internal networking to get their next role more than the selling motion. A person GROOMING for Fortune 500 will for sure need networking, but they also need to focus on the skills needed to land the role and how to articulate them. Each one requires a focused approach to make the largest impact in the shortest amount of time.

Leaders, let’s talk. How many of us have received those messages? You know the ones: "Your website is terrible." "Your LinkedIn banner isn’t customized." "Your social media presence is… lacking." And they think this is a good sales strategy? Seriously? Who wakes up and decides, “Let me insult someone into buying from me!” At Caveat Institute, we’re here to say: STOP. THIS. NOW. Sales isn’t about self-gratification or tearing someone down to build yourself up. It’s about serving, not being served. It’s about asking the right questions, helping both the salesperson and the client discover needs and solutions together. It’s about removing need, not creating insecurity. Sure, maybe your website could use a tweak. (Who’s couldn’t?) But starting a conversation by pointing out someone’s flaws? That’s not sales—it’s sabotage. At Caveat, we teach a different way... a sales formula rooted in psychology, respect, and genuine connection. It’s not for everyone, but for the few who get it, it transforms. If you’re ready to ditch outdated, offensive strategies and embrace a sales approach that actually works, reach out. Follow us at https://lnkd.in/g_TxvSd. Subscribe to Here’s the Caveat! and uncover a sales approach that elevates everyone involved. Let’s leave the “insult-to-sell” era behind. Humor, respect, and better sales strategies are the way forward. #SalesLeadership #CaveatInstitute #BobReish #HerestheCaveat #LeadershipDevelopment #SalesPsychology

The Power of Linkedin for business connections and long term relationships… In this video I give tips on conscious communication, heart felt connection and genuine ways of using linkedin to create long term relationships in business with top people and top companies. Most of the top companies in the world look after their staff with continuous training, coaching and learning and development. It shows they value and care about their staff and want the best for them. You might ask why do these top performers need a coach? The answer is they don’t necessarily, they just have a desire to be the best they can be. It’s a bit like Messi or Ronaldo in football or Tiger Woods in golf. The coach or trainer is just there to help them be the best of the best. Top performers have a continuous desire to learn and grow and the power of a mentor or coach to mastermind up to another level has been proven for centuries. Reasons for leaving businesses is not always about money or promotions, one of the biggest factors is that people sometimes don’t feel they are learning anything, they don’t feel they are growing personally and that is why a coach can help with that. I have had the honour of coaching some of the top staff in these companies and have not just got to know them, but have become great friends with them. Communication skills, presentation skills, leadership skills, sales skills, self awareness skills, relationship building skills all are areas that even the best in the world are always trying to get better at. We are all on a journey of self development and learning. And sometimes the more we learn the better we get. #linkedin #sales #coaching #corporatetraining

Your future clients need your help. They need your help understanding options, knowing what to look for, what to avoid, and all the other obstacles during their buyer’s journey. Some do this already, but sadly, this journey-driven leadership is fading in a world increasingly driven by superficial tactics. I see a lot of coaches and consultants trying to get attention, hoping people buy from them. Unfortunately, this leaves buyers “stuck” in the journey. Your audience also needs help answering their internal questions. And if you can’t answer them, they will go find some influencer to help them at which point you aren’t the thought leader anymore. I am on a mission to catalyze the way coaches and consultants help their ideal clients navigate the buyer’s journey. Afterall, coaching and consulting is needed before the sale. Over the course of my 10 year career in the high-ticket space, I’ve been lucky enough to work with some amazing people and businesses. All of my work has a nucleus that is this: Understand, map out, and help the underserved buyers in the market by being their guide, making them the hero of their own journey. Imagine this scenario: you stumble upon a LinkedIn profile that piques your interest after liking a post. Excitedly, you click on it, hoping to learn more about the person behind the profile. But to your disappointment, all you find is content solely focused on what they sell, nasically reading a brochure. Now, let’s be honest, if you’re still in the early stages of your buyer’s journey, this profile won’t resonate with you. And that’s the issue. As coaches and consultants, our goal is to guide individuals on their unique journey. Compete not just on positioning, but PROXIMITY to where they are at within the buyer’s journey. To do that successfully, we need to be relevant to them at each stage. By solely focusing on the end result and skipping the buyer’s journey, we miss out on the opportunity to demonstrate our value and expertise. Don’t miss the opportunity to give your market a taste of how you work by leading them through the buyer’s journey. Unless you don’t want to be a leader 😉 I believe in you. P.S. Want to see how to find the low-hanging fruit in your market on LinkedIn and be the most relevant option they come across? Book a time with me and I’ll show you the process.
